Is it okay to tell jokes about anything?

I know a lot of people who can easily make me laugh by cracking some jokes but sometimes I find it inappropriate that they joke about just anything and everything. Though I know its not their intention to hurt others, it is what happens. I just think that jokes are good as long as we know our limitations. I think a joke is good is you are laughing about something and not about someone. What do you think? Do you agree with me?

It really depends on who you're with, and what kinds of jokes are they. I wouldn't dare make a political joke about the USA, but I'd make jokes about our Canadian government, I mean it's my country, right? Also, I wouldn't even joke about the Canadian gov't around some of my friends but would with others that I know they'd laugh at. I guess it's common sense/courtesy/etc, it's really a grey area here.

I think certain topics should not made jokes about. For example, the one type of jokes I can not stand are racial jokes. Those are the type of jokes that make me cringe and I do get offended pretty easily.

I agree with you it is fun to joke around and make people laugh. You also have to be careful cause sometimes jokes can go to far and the person will keep going even though it is hurtful to that person. Not that people mean to make mean jokes. You just have to be aware of your surroundings.

Yes I do agree with you. You can classify people that you like to joke of like me I have different set of friends so I know whom of those friends who cannot take jokes & only with a certain limit.
