Can anyone recommend some good detective series?

I just recently saw a Detective Conan movie so now I'm in this whole mystery, crime solving mood. So, can anyone help recommend any good detective series. I don't care if it's an anime or a manga. I'll even settle for live action movies too. Off the top of my head, some of the series I've watched/read are Detective Conan (aka Case Closed), Ayatsuri Sakon, and the Q.E.D. japanese drama. Thanks in advance guys.

Right now i`m watching Detective Conan episode 3.you know I don`t really like Detective Conan because the series is to long.Are this anime boring or interesting to continue..

A great detective type show is Ghost In The Shell. It is very complex, and just a good all around "makes you think," type anime. It's 50 episodes long and has 3 movies. I highly recommend.
