Wow! I only saw the last seconds but I'm g-dsmacked! So now The Canadians are going to worry. So on the eve of The Miracle On Ice, these new American hockey players had some magic of their own! So do you think the Americans, The Canadians , or the Russians are the favorites to win gold?

hard to believe it has been 30 years since that happened i am not old enough to remember it, but it was still enjoyable to watch years later.
this was a great game to watch end to end action Ryan Miller far outplayed Martin Brodeur in goal as he had to face so many more shots and quality shots at that.
i was a little down on our chances, but i forgot how good the Team USA goalie is and he has been the best out of them all in the tournament and i told my dad he would have to be the star for Team USA to win and boy did he not disappoint.
i think seeing all of those teams play now and 2 of them head to head, because of the goalie play, which has been the best Miller has played all year as far as I'm concerned i would say Team USA is playing the best, but as we have all seen before it just takes one bad game and you are gone so it remains to be seen, but you have to love the way Team USA has played to this point a well deserved day off tomorrow.

I was alive and well but not into hockey. I remember everyone being happy about it but I didn't truly understand until many years later.

i was i think 3 at the time so i was quite into sports yet at that age, but by the time i was about 5 i could tell you about sports that i had watched with my dad so i got into them at an early age.
i watch all of the stuff about that team even though i wasn't into it because i was so young at the time and it still gives me chills.
i can't believe that its been that long man it makes me feel old.
you will never see anything like that again that was a once in a lifetime kind of upset and to do it in front of the home country wow that makes it an epic event.

It was a great game. Good rushes end to end. Except for intermissions, I was kept at the edge of my seat! Miller stood on his head to withstand twice as many shots. Brodeur did not play all that bad, but Miller was better last night.
I wonder who the Canadians will put on goal against the Russians (assuming they win against Germany, of course). More questions, tsk, tsk, tsk...

That still doesn't say that they'll ride Luongo all the way. It just says Bobby Lu can take care of the easy games. And I think it'll still be Brodeur against Russia, assuming of course Luongo can beat Erhoff and his gang.
I guess I should be happy that he won't be so tired when it's 'game-on' again for the canucks.
BTW, did you see that Kessler was the one who put the dagger on the empty net? Just trumpheting my canucks at every chance I can...

Americans beat Canadians in hockey? What a crime! LOL Oh well, congratulations to the American players for winning. As for the Russians, well my husband is Russian-American. LOL We're pulling for the Russians, if the Canadins are out. Are the canadians out for good now?

No they are out . They have to win 4 games to get the gold . The Americans only need 3 wins. It is just that us Yanks came up and beat the home team on their ice! I'm so sorry.

Of course, I was at stupid speed dating and missed this event of the Olympics. I've been waiting for this one. This is one of the few times I miss having a DVR. I'm doing really well without cable, but sometimes something like this will come up and I'll get really sad. I'm over it. I should be able to find it on replay.

What a win for the good ol' USA. I caught most of the game and to be honest, Canada outplayed the U.S. in every part of the game, except one, between the pipes. Ryan Miller had 42 saves to just 18 for Martin Broduer. A win is a win and I'm very excited for the U.S. They have set themselves in a nice spot to win a medal, that's for sure!

Of course I want the US to win! Canada has not been playing well at all. I think they have too many superstars on their team. Hard for all those egos to work together. Maybe Canada should have invited some younger kids to play for them. I wonder what the average age is for the Canadian team?

It was a great game for USA..Canada played it a little loose and it showed, too much time in the box, with miller in the net you've got have a better power play than they did tonight..Even though I tried to pull for the canadians because of Babs, I was proud of our guys and found myself cheering for Raffie like a red wing fan. Go USA..

SPOILER ALERT! :(
Since NBC is being really lame and not showing anything of the olympics live, I'm sure a lot of people haven't seen it yet. :( This kind of spoiled the game for me. Oh well, I'm still going to watch it when they show it later, but aw. Well, happy mylotting anyways!
