Flood kills 40

40 people were killed in an flood in portugal. Rescue workers on sunday dug frantically to free cars and homes burried under heaps of caked mud in madeira,after torrential flash floods and mudslides killed 40 people on the popular portuguese island. More than other 120 people where injured and an unknown number of persons are missing. Heavy rain lashed the island yesterday turning some streets in the capital of Funchal into raging rivers of mud, water and debris.
