Water,, How much water shoulb we drink in a day.

Hello all, Water is life but just spare a minute over it, how much life (water) you take in a day? In almost 90% case, human are drinking less water then they should. This week end I had a tight day, and I have not noticed that I have not drunk enough water, so at night my throat was extremely dry... I learned a lesson that in any condition one must not ignore drinking water.
I wonder, scientifically how much water per day is enough for a person.

People should drink plenty of water everyday around 8 glasses a day, 1 glass of water is equivalent to 240ml of water multiply it by 8 then you have around 2L of water to drink each day. Why it is important because you need water to eliminate waste products in your blood if too little water is in your blood all the waste products in your blood will accumulate inside your kidney and all those waste products are toxic when too much is not eliminated inside your kidney, what will happened is that you will have kidney damage and it is very fatal it can also lead to heart problems as a studying health care provider it is not good to drink at least 8 glasses of water each day because it may cause health problems later in life. It doesn't mean you have a small body you will drink little you have to drink 8 glasses of water each day or more for your body to stay healthy and strong. : )

I have a wrong statement there, "its not good to drink less than 8 glasses of water each day"
not "at least 8 glasses of water each day".

In my nutrition class because I'm studying sports and medicine, the normal human body needs to drink your weight in kilograms x .04 = the results means the lts of water your body needs. But remember if u work out u will need a little more because you lose water .

Though I know that drinking enough water is good for health and skin, still I cannot drink too much of water. Only six or seven glasses of water I am able to drink per day. If I drink more water, I feel like bringing it out.

Hi Aunty,
Even i have noticed few people cant drink water if have more then feel like bringing it out but we should not live that day by day we have increase it still if we cannot have it then we can find and alternative way like having fruit juices or drinking butter milk etc.Even my colleague doesn't drink water at all for the whole day she consumes only half a glass of water that it, Recently if she had some severe health problem doctor justed her to have enough water at least 2 litres not in one stretch but asked to divide in intervals and have, also the doctor said if she cannot drink it they told her to increase it day at day so it comes a habit. I just thought to share it with you.

Hi josh, Thats right, most people do not drink enough water unless specifically advised by their doctors to do so. I too am the same, I tend to drink lots of water only during summer months because of the need. It is very hot and one has to drink water to quench thirst and keep cool...Ideally I would think 8-10 glasses are required by our body to keep it in top condition..will go through the link...all the best

I will checkout the link you shared. I read somewhere how drinking water could help one lose weight, and that is something I am desperate about. I try to drink as much water as I can, whenever I feel parched, I go for water above anything else. It also helps that we have a steady supply of clean cold water at work, a few steps away from my desk. I used to go more than eight hours without drinking water and drinking juice or soda instead. Now, it's water that gives me the hydration I need in this very hot weather we're having right now.

Drinking SODA will ruin your efforts to lose weight. It is good that you are having the water supply nearby you at office, that will really help to drink more water. As it is easily available and accessible.

people say that 8 glasses of water must be drank a day. but i'm definitely drinking less than i should. i just couldn't take enough water, my stomach is aching. i guess i'm not used in drinking lots of water. but if its juice, or anything that has flavor, i can drink it as many as i could.

Hi esjosh,
Drinking enough water is always good for health and also we will be having a smooth skin. According to the doctors we should atleast have 2 litres of water very day. Like you if ever if i dont have enough water on any day i feel my throat becomes very dry and as well i feel more and more thristy.

I am dark guy... Few years back someone told me that i can become fair if i drink loads of water... That time i didnt have much of maturity and started believing and started drinking loads and loads of water... But now i dont know whether i have become fair or not.. But i have started drinking loads of water... May be more than 3liters a day.. :D

I thought my drinking 8 glasses of water a day is enough. OMG! according to that hydration calculator I have to drink 2.4 liters of water a day! Maybe, I'll try that now because summer heat is beginning to be felt in our country. Thanks for the link.

I usto just drink soda all the time and i started gaining weight sooo I stopped drinking soda only water and i feel better i heard that when ur urine turns clear instead of yellow thats inof water but i dont think so

water did amazing things for me...okay, it didn't pay my bills or find me a husband, however, when I drink a large glass of water it gets all these sluggish juices around my serotonin receptors a fresh drink---- it freshens and purifies the blood flowing to my heart, and who knows what else! Here's how I see it...
I take my vitamins (& bipolar meds) in the morning with a big glass of water. I want things to get moving right away so I give the pills all the help they can get... think of it as a Log Ride.
Bye the way, this is my first-ever discussion type thing I have ever done. I think it's pretty funny that I'm going to make it about water... (this begs for a pun)

i think your supposed to drink like 70 ounces of water a day. there is no way i drink ne where near that much. i probly only drink like 20 to 30 ounces a day at the most. i dont think i no hardly ne body that actually drinks that much water a day.

I really have no idea on which is the accurate nuimbers of glasses we should drink water daily. Usually when I read articles it always states 7 to 8 glasses daily. It makes me wonder how much can we really intake and does it really help us function better than drinking juice or any other drink?

well 4-5 glass is a must. .its good to drink even more. .it helps in keeping ur body alive and refreshin.. otherwise u feel drowsy and weak .... well... . ders no harm in drinking excess of drinking water..

Hi friend i think 12 glasses of water is necessary daily. I have also learnt a lesson that drinking enough of water is necessary for daily body activity. I develop lots of promblems because of not having enough water. Thank you for providing with the website. I will search on this site.

The water you need to drink in a day can be from all sorts of sources.
It can be in liquid type food and drinks which are not completely water.
Your body sorts it out and takes the part that it needs.
I drink a small amount of water a day but I eat things with liquid in all the time and drink tea which is liquid too.
You can tell if you are drinking enough because your urine will be clear if you are and darker if you are not.

That's nice but not necessary for me as I always drink at least 4 cups of water a day. I sometimes drink too much and I feel sick :) Lol but that's alright as the excess will be gone as a part of Urine. Better to be too full of water than lacking :)
