When I was a child, I really like its coming. After I grow up, for me, it lose all meaning owing to there are lots of firecrackers let off in the midnight. I could not understand why people use such a way to celebrate New Year. No doubt, it is dangerous and full of noise.

I love new year no doubt. But it is not the same that comes on first day of first month of every year. In our country,India, each state comprising people from distinct ethnic group based on the language spoken, celebrates its own new year on some day of the year.
We have Parsi new year for Parsis.
In Hindu culture there are different new years for Tamils, Telugu, Marathi's, Malayalis etc., For Tamils it is called Pongal. For Telugu speaking it is Ugadi. For Malayalis it is Onam. Each of these new years is celebrated in distinct way with devotion and rituals.Traditional attire is worn, special dishes are prepared and get togethers are organised and greetings exchanged.People also visit temples on these new year days.
The typical new year is also celebrated by these people but by younger lot and urban youth who are out of touch with their traditions over the years.

The new year is one of the few special occasion that literally renews the spirit. At the time of new year everything seems new and bright. It's like everything has started from zero. This kind of feeling lasts only month for me. But new year is the special time to get rebooted. This is the event which is celebrated every year.

I enjoy new year the most when compared to any other festivals of the year..This is the only festival that refreshes my mind of which am a something starting up new life..I feel it's like a rebirth..I take up new resolutions whether i may follow or not..that's not a matter..but still it gives me an option to make a plan of changing my lifestyle...Hope many people think the same way as I do..I also feel that it is the most popular festival across the globe

i like new year but only if i have job and with my family. the last new year i just spent it in my room alone. coz i was very sick coz its my first trimister of pregnancy so i experience too much vomiting and feel dizzy. i also live alone and all my friends are also busy with their family and my bf dont even bother to visit me knowing that his the father of the baby i have. the only person i talk with that time was my ex whose in london. we chat the whole night and he tried to make me fine. that was 1st new year that was very bad for me. and i hope i will not going to suffer that again.
