Doesn't others' impression of you square with the facts?

All of us hope to leave good impression to others in human communication.But is seems that many things in our lives go by contrary.Sometimes,the impression we leave to others is just contrary to what it actually is.So,why the impression doesn't square with the facts?Perhaps we cover uo something intentionally or perhaps we have not found the true inner self.
Have you eve been in such situation?If you have,what do you think is the basic cause?

very true. everything depends on the situation..people tend to behave differently in different situations. similarly, even if you do not want to, you might have to end up behaving in a certain manner even if you do not want to. it all is driven by situations and they are not in your control.
