I love pasta! I can it three times a day. My favorite is mac and cheese or any pasta that has cheese sauce. Earlier, I ate baked mac and after that I craved for my favorite mac and cheese. When I worked in a restaurant, I learned to cook alfredo and seafood pasta. how about you? what is your favorite pasta recipe? Can you cook it yourself?

hi keisey,
Carbonara! I love seafood pasta too! I know how to make spaghetti and carbonara. Honestly, I don't really cook. I mean, "cooking" and getting busy in the kitchen is not my thing. Haha! But sure I know how to make some pasta dishes.
Happy lotting!

I'm a fan of egg noodles...because I can put them in anything. I make a home-version (no box) of hamburger helper involving noodles, and I really love it in my turkey gravy one pan dishes...usually accompanied by a brown sauce and veggies like zuchini, green peppers, yellow squash, corn, browned turkey and spices.

My favorite pasta of all time is capellini di angelo and I like it with any sauce, especially meat sauce, which it is not supposed to be served with. But, that's how I like it. It's delicate and a great chew. I also like pappardelle, and it goes well with meat sauce. Like you, I really like most any pasta, most any way. Fettucine Alfredo is super great. While Carbonara is often touted, Pasta a la Mama is more to my taste; I got the recipe from the Food Network; it just omits the bacon and uses beaten egg and cheese. It's yummy and good for breakfast. I used to get a Lasagne Imbotte with meat sauce and hard boiled egg and it was wonderful. Lasagna with ricotta and both red and bechamel sauces also is wonderful. Of course, macaroni and cheese is a great standard and the kinds and amounts of cheese can be varied, as well as adding other ingredients.
One pasta dish I haven't yet tried, but will when there is time, is Timpano. Manicotti and rigatoni with eggplant are also favorites of mine. I used to always do a dish called Manzo di Pranzo, which is an Italian Sunday night version of meats and gravy. It includes meatballs, sausage, bracciole, chicken, and beef. It cooks for several hours and is especially rich and tasty. It's good with rigatoni, penne, or any large pasta, but I still also like it with angel hair (capellini). I also like the Greek pastitsio which uses large macaroni. I do a tuna casserole and mostly use shell macaroni in that. I like a version of seafood pasta with red sauce that uses shrimp, scallops, and lobster. I also like pasta with fried calamari in red sauce. Even pasta salads of all kind are good as far as I'm concerned. I do one with chicken, fresh basil, broccoli, sundried and fresh tomatoes in a parmesan mayonnaise. Another one uses tuna, boiled egg, walnuts, scallions, regular macaroni, mayo, oil, vinegar and parmesan cheese. An interesting one uses spaghetti noodles with broccoli, cherry tomatoes, garlic in a soy and lemon dressing. So many noodles, so little time!

Hello Keisley!
I'm not much of a pasta fan but just this Sunday I was able to taste this very good pasta dish that made me change my perception of pasta! When it comes to red sauce I like the traditional meatball spaghetti. White sauce, I like carbonara and this pasta dish I tasted from a fine dining restaurant called Japanese seaweed pasta. I like pestos as well! So far the Japanese sea weed pasta is my favorite above all, but I haven't landed on a site that offers a recipe for it. I can pretty much cook pasta as well, but only spaghetti, and carbonara.

I have never tried cooking any pasta besides mac and cheese from a box but I do love pasta too! Chicken Alfredo is my absolute favorite! It's delicious! Shrimp Alfredo is amazing as well. And mac and cheese from a box is great and everything but nothing can beat homemade! I don't really like tomato sauce pastas. It's alright every once in awhile. But I don't like it all the time.
