they were my first original sneakers: a new white pair of FILA sneakers years ago. the soles repelled later so i brought them to the nearest shoe repair shop. i instructed the shoemaker to stick them back and sew each shoe around. he gave me the schedule so i returned to collect them. he said that he forgot them in their house so i returned the next time. i haven't found him so i asked his mom. she shrugged her shoulders telling me that my shoes might have been sold because her son was taking some crap. i was totally helpless and regretful but i couldn't do anything about it anymore. here in thailand, i bought a pair of good leather shoes but after a few months, the rubber on the heels needed replacement. i went to the shoe shop and asked the shoe repair man to replace it. he gave me the date to collect and i returned as scheduled. i was speechless seeing that the workmanship was a disaster! the rubber replacement was as thick as the tractor's wheel. i'm not exaggerating but it really looked awful!!! i grabbed my shoes and left with a very sad face. i almost broke into tears but they won't do anything to make my shoes look much better. the surface of the heel of each shoe even got bad scatches from filing of the rubber replacement. i met a good friend and he was shocked himself. he suggested to take them to his friend hoping to see a better result. about a week or two later, we have found out that his friend was the same shoemaker who did the first repair. right! it's the same person! hahahahahahahaha!!!!! i wish i was there to see how his face looked like when my friend complained about how my shoes were done. that was totally hilarious but at least my shoes looked quite better. how about your weird or unforgettable story? have you got any? please let me hear from you. thanks and happy mylotting!

Hi there Cheiyen! Your experience is somewhat disastrous, sad and at the same time funny too.I can't imagine having my favorite shoe murdered like that lol.In my case, I don't usually go to shoemakers mainly because I am almost always buying shoes with cheaper price so if it gets older and have some defects then I would just get rid of it and get a new pair which is cheaper of course. There may be times that I tend to make a pair of shoe my favorite and when the time comes that it gets old looking then I would clean it, keep it in a box and set it aside.I hope you'll be more careful with your shoes now(smiles).
