That's true he does have a very big vision for this country, but what president hasn't? Besides, he has done a lot less than he could to force his vision down our throats. He has put far less pressure than Nanci Pelosi(Who I hope loses her seat) on legislators. Obama could have tried from the outset to pressure every democrat in the Senate into approving the House health care bill, for example, but he did not. Because he realizes that if he did push something that big through strictly on party lines, he would not be acting in the interest of everyone, or even close to everyone.
Obama is more bipartisan than the two presidents preceding him.

I don't know what you mean by "the two party thing is an illusion" they seem like completely separate entities. And he tried to get republicans to talk about health care when this whole thing started. I just can't understand how republicans can shoot down every proposal that the democrats have and then say he isn't "bipartisan". It doesn't make any sense to me.
Now, if you want to say that congress isn't bipartisan I would tend to agree with that. But congress has always been very partisan on big issues (I suppose not on procedural or smaller votes, though).

valentinesdiner I think that our President does love the US but he is very new and very inexperienced so he does make mistakes which a zillion rapid obama haters pounce on to fuel their hatred even more. give the man a break, heck you all gave poor dumb ex president Bush eight years and its his mess he made in those 8 years that poor Obama is trying to clear up and with the constant angry people in both parties screaming like lunatics I wonder anyone could get any thing done. I am no politician and know zilch about politics but I do know that when an inexperienced person is new on the job people can either help him or undermine every thing he does. To begin with very few of the people who c ame as candidates were from the middle class or working class, now how on earth are wealthy people supposed to know just what it is like to lose your job, to be u nemployed, to lose your homes?Since we in the US always want glamour we will not select a working man or even a middle class worker,no no he has look pretty and have lots of charisma. So we usually get what we select.
