TARP money What should be done with it?

I think it should be used to either start to fund the wars that we "forgot" to pay for under Bush. Or to find other ways to "invest" the money either in paying down our debt investing in the people of this country.

Since the money that went to create TARP was a loan, then the money being paid back should be used to pay off the original loan. I cannot think of anything better, that is what people in the real world would do.

TARP was a bad idea to begin with. Since they did it anyway, then the law should be followed. The idea that it should be used to start even more government programs is bad for everyone except liberals and socialists who live for big government.

I agree how about we pay off some of the debt with it like it was intended. After all some of that debt is from the TARP program itself. I think if it pays itself back then it's not such a bad deal. TARP was just a last ditch effort by the Bush administration and the democratic congress to look like they were fixing our financial crisis. It may have averted it for now, but the same fundamental problems still remain.
