It's supposed to start raining later on, but there's already big puddles from the melting. They should freeze up nicely overnight...

Hey Barbara! We are expecting some really weird weather for
the next 4 days here in NY! It is supposed to be in the form
of snow-sleet-ice-rain! Since the temps have been just above
freezing we are hoping that it will be less of the snow, but if
the temps drop below freezing, which they are supposed to do
then who knows what we will get! Freezing rain or sleet is
sometimes worse than snow! This winter has been a whole mix
of surprises here! We have only had one really bad snowstorm
so we are keeping our fingers crossed!

This is really our first storm of the winter. And I hope it's the last!

well always remember it could be worse, because when i was visiting my parents house today it was sleeting.
they live up in the mountains where as we all know tend to be a little colder, but it really wasn't that bad temperature wise it was around forty degrees and it was still pelting down sleet so that made the ride home a little fun, but once we got down off the mountain closer to the river it was fine.
we were supposed to get a snow storm changing over to rain overnight into tomorrow so we shall see what we get, but this is not a nice start to it if it starts as a sleet storm that can be very treacherous to drive in, but thankfully i am home now and I'm not going anywhere anytime soon.

Having had snow on and off for the past few days, I'll be really glad to see the end of it all and welcome in the Spring. Right now we still have snow on the ground and the freezing temperatures have frozen it to a lethal white sheet. Roll on the warmer weather :-D

we here in southern ontario (canada, yes i did say Canada!) are experiencing our FIRST snowfall of any substance today for the whole winter. we are only supposed to get about an inch or 2 but the way it is snowing out now, it seems like we will be getting a lot more than that!

Living in Pennsylvania, I find it hard to believe it actually snows in Canada! LOL You should be used to the snow..we've been pretty lucky where I live, we missed the storms that just hit the east coast, Washington DC and neighboring states. Winter is almost over and we'll be basking in the sun soon..."weather permitting!".

We might get snow here later on in the week...will have to see how it goes. Can't cope with it like in your country though. We're useless at "cold," "hot" or anything inbetween! A nation of moaners is what we are!
Roll on Spring I say. Bring on the daffs (daffodils)!
