This is Giant George from AZ. He's going to be on Oprah today, too. (These are not shopped... he really is 235# and 7 feet long!)
I love dogs, but that thing is like 15 kinds of disaster. Too big. I wonder do giant breeds of dogs have the same problems that human giants have? IE; prone to joint injuries, overworked hearts, blood sugar problems requiring very strict diets, etc.

Hello Teamrose, Aww shucks, Ive just missed Oprah.
I wont tell my husband about this. We have a 100lbs Labrador and he thinks he's tiny. He says he wants a BIG dog. Im not so keen on it. I dont think Id be able to hold him with a leash, he'd probably take ME for a walk haha!
I dont know if they have the same health problems but it would be something to look into if someone cant provide the care for these dogs.

Thanks Pola. I'll have to watch it online then.
Teamrose, he's he weight that much and remains at 97-100 lbs. He's always indoors but we take him for walks at least twice a day. Our vet says he's healthy but shouldnt put on anymore weight, so we keep an eye on his diet.
He's my first dog, so I wasnt sure what I wanted exactly. We got him as a pup at 6 weeks and he sort of grew on me hehe!!
As for the cost of feeding him.....yeah its quite a lot, but it goes with the pleasure of owning a dog.

I have not....but I wish I have. I met huge dog years ago. The poor boy was sick and couldn't walk, four people needed to carry him outside...
I may watch Oprah on line to see George.

I am just now watching photos of George and HE'S HUGE man. I mean, do dogs grow that big?? even for his breed. But he's cute. All dogs are just adorable. They are man's best friend after all. I bet that George require a lot of attention...he really is huge, can't get over that fact, I will watch him on youtube.
