Have you been a member of a site for several years?

I am a member of a online forum where some of the members have been active for more than 8 years, and some of them have written more than 100000 posts. It think that is pretty amazing. I have never been a member of the same site for that long. I tend to join too many different sites, and after a while I realize that I don't have enough time for all of them, and I only keep the ones that I really like. Have you been a member of the same site for several years? How many years? Are you still active on that site?

Yes, it is definately a lot of posts, I know that some of those members spend many, many hours on that site, and they must be really active. I agree with you about MyLot, it is a great site, and it is really nice to be able to discuss a lot of different topics. I like that very much, and I have learned many new things since I joined.

I also am a member of several sites but I also tend to slack eventually. Right now, I signed up on different paid-to-write sites but I am sure I will soon forget my login info for those because I will just fail to regularly update them. There are accounts that are worth keeping but so far, the longest that I've kept are my yahoo, gmail and up webmail accounts, as for the networking sites, I still have friendster which I rarely visit, I almost never visit myspace and occasionally I log on to multiply. :)

That sounds a lot like me. I am a member of many differetn social networking sites like Friendster, Facebook and Myspace, but I hardly ever log in, I an not even sure than I remember my passwords. I used to be pretty active on MySpace and I was a member of many groups etc, but the last few years I haven't used the site much.

I have no so patience. I'm a member of only online forum myLot and facebook. In facebook I have selected friends. I get more interest in myLot. I have many friends there, though they are in disguise. For some friends I feel very closeness. But we will never meet.

Mylot is the only site that I've been the longest with. 3 years. I come and go.. but the important thing is that I always come back. As you can see in my number of posts, it's still not that much. There are days that I just enjoy reading some discussions, especially the ones where there is a heated debate!I can say that I'm an active member of Mylot. Some days, I just upload images in a certain category. Some days, I do post my own discussions. And some days I only respond to the discussions. I also dropped some sites because they fail to capture my interest. And there were also some that I thought I was just wasting my time.

I've never been a member of a site for 8 years.. wow that's a really long and awesome period to be in a site. I've only been in myLot and besides friendster, I think.. which is getting paler for me by the day, and another site called multiply, together with myLot, I've been involved like 3 years or so. I've never been in a particular site for 8 years. That would be a pretty achievement, since it shows the level of commitment towards a particular site. Awesome.

I actually have one ancient account on one of the local social sites. I have been a member there for about 7 or 8 years now. However I haven't made 100 000 posts here, number of my posts isn't even close to that huge amount.

It is too demanding to login to a site every single day and make 100 comments. One really involved persons can do that.

I am basically a loyalist. When I like a site, I stay with it, be active in it for as long as it allows me to do so. I was once very active in one site that banned me for no apparent reason. I was just enjoying my time there, discussing and reacting to other people's views. Well now, I am out of the site and it's their loss. I would like to really make a difference by reaching millions of posts if possible. So far, as you can see in my number, I am still trying hard, a struggling newbie trying to make a difference.

well..my first and longest social website that i've been joining in was friendster.I met several good and close friend there. And i also joining in one local forum from my country regarding mirc..wow..that was old school huh? But as the time passed by i become 'idle' for both.my job require me to be 'parted away' with internet.Luckily several years back im back to the internet world. Thanks to the job promotion.I continue my friendster then added myself into facebook and recently (less than two month) i found myLot. And that was i call revolution! The income from it comes second for me.The most important things i can share people thought from around the world (who dont talk rubbish)about anything. And some of my solution (for job and life) can be found here. Im looking for information about getting backpacking(probably having some travel partners)and some other info's. My only hope that one day myLot will become more friendly to mobile users so that i can catch up with it all the times.
