How many of youall go to a chiropractor whenever you are in pain? I go to one every so often but not all the time. There are some chiropractors who think you should have an adjustment every week but I don't believe in this. I just go when I hurt. It's getting about that time for me to go again because my wrists have been hurting me something awful here lately. I think it's due to the cold weather. However, we have had some nice days here lately I broke my left wrist in 1978 and I have had problems with both of them off and on ever since. Of course, I stay on the computer a lot and I play the guitar, too. These don't help matters much. I hurt in all of my joints pretty much all the time. Somedays it's worse than others but it's not to the point that I can't do anything much. In fact, I stay pretty active all the time. It's because I have something called tendinitis. My parents never did believe in chiropractic but it seems like more people go to them now than they did in the past. I went to my first chiropractor when I was 24 years old and it's always helped me.

Thank you, Jo. It will be next month before I can go to the chiropractor because that's when I get paid again. That is, if I do go. I've been thinking that I might find out if Medicaid will pay for physical therapy and if any physical therapists around here will accept Medicaid. I think this might save me some money in the long run because Medicaid won't pay for chiropractic and I've just had to pay for it out of my pocket. Another mylotter suggested trying physical therapy, anyway. Chiropractors are very good with helping people with allergies. If Medicaid will pay for physical therapy, I will let the therapist help me with my joint problems and let my regular doctor help me with my allergies. In the meantime, I'm not going to let my aches and pains spoil my birthday, lol! Kathy.

I was about your age when I went to my first chiro too. I had turned in my seat wrong in my car and something snapped-----I hurt so bad ! My grandma took me to her chiro then, a quack but he still helped me. I'm glad to be alive now tho LOL
That is the problem with chiros now . Too many have had bad experiences with them.
I have found a good one here now. She also works on horses and dogs :)
but she' s tiny and no extra body pounding LOL she believes in technique.
The only thing wrong with going to her is she wants her money in advance even tho I have ins that pays.
To answer your question, yes I go to a chiro.

I think it's interesting that youall had 43 horses and 7 mules. That's a lot of them! I guess the most we ever had was 12 horses at one time. We did have some mules when I was younger but we just had 2. We didn't have them both at the same time, though. We also had up to over 100 cattle at one time. Kathy.

Yes, I know a lot of people have had bad experiences with them. I've had nothing but good experiences with them, though. I went to one one time several years ago that I thought was a little too rough, though, and I never did go back to him. I'm not 24 any more, btwlol! I'm going to be 58 the day after tomorrow! Yes, Thursday is my birthday! I just went to my first chiropractor when I was 24. I didn't mean to get off the subject but I think it's interesting that this chiropractor you go to now also works on horses and dogs. Do you ever watch rfdtv? I get dishnetwork and I watch that station a lot. It's rural america's most important network. There is a lot of good stuff on that station for horse owners. Every so often they have a woman on there who does massages on horses and mules. It's very interesting. Kathy.

First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY the day after tomorrow !!!
The lady who is the chiro and does dogs and horses is also a two time circuit barrel racer winner.
She had saddles and pictures of herself and her two daughter all over her office.
I can get rfdtv but hardly ever watch tv except at night about supper time.
I've heard of people who do massages on horses and mules.
We used to have about 43 head of horses and seven mules ourselves. But with hubby sick we only have a few that are farmed out now.
But I love them all the same.
Take care and enjoy rfdtv and the chiro !
and again,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY lol

Well, at least you're saving money by letting your daughter or one of her friends massage you. I used to get massages when I worked at the European Health Spa. I also used to get them when I worked there. When I got massages, I never had to go to the chiropractor. My main job at this spa was to do nails but it's gone out of business now. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

I went to a chiropractor many years ago with a back injury. The doctors and hospital could do nothing except offer me painkillers that I did not want. A nurse told me of this chiropractor and I am very happy she did, because he did a great job in sorting out my back injury. _Derek

I'm glad you found a chiropractor who could help you. Do you still go to this chiropractor? I have Medicaid and it won't pay for chiropractic, I hate to say. I'm thinking about seeing if Medicaid will pay for physical therapy and if any physical therapists around here will accept Medicaid. If this is the case, I think it will save me some money in the long run. Not that I'm against chiropractic. In fact, I always feel so much better when I go to one. It's just that since my insurance won't pay for it, I just have to pay for it out of my pocket. If I end up going to one anyway, it will be next month before I can go because I don't get paid again until the first of March. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

Well friend, never have, never will. But if you suffer from chronic pain, I would highly recommend you try Limu Plus http://limuplus.com Read what it has to say, I would add that there is a money back guarantee, based on the lab results. The lab being your body.
Try it, you might like it.
I appreciate you.

Thank you, CJ. I appreciate you telling me about Limu Plus. It all sounds very good. Does it really work, though? Have you ever tried it? I might want to think about it before I try it. I know you said I could get my money back on it but I just want to make sure because I'm living on a fixed income. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

Well dear,
I drink Limu Plus everyday. I however do not suffer from chronic pain. So, as to my personal experience of it working, I can only tell you. That it makes my energy level higher, and allows me to handle the stresses of working in a restaurant better then before I started taking it.
If you are concerned about such things, I would be more then happy to send you a free bottle first. And if you wanted to talk to someone that has suffered from chronic pain...http://cybersolutionz.com/mrsa/ there are many others as well. http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/dlouhyvita/message/11134
So, there it is. If you want me to send you a bottle, my next order is coming this week sometime, So I could ship it off on Monday. Then you can let your personal laboratory decide for you. Being on a fixed income could be discussed as well.
If this is something that does interest you dear. I would highly recommend writing me a personal note. Privately, so as to not put personal information on the discussion board.
I appreciate you.

Hi Mike4me! At least, you're saving some money this way. As long as the herbal stuff and liniments help you, I guess it's all right. I use liniments, drink herbal tea, take Ibuprofen, and Tylenol P.M. Sometimes these things don't alwqays help, though. I always say to each his own. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

I have gone to one that was a money mill in my opinion. He helped the initial problem (with two years of treatment) but never had time to talk to me, or figure out if I needed anything else. I have another chiropractor that I just love. He will not adjust me if he does not think I need it. I always feel a lot of relief when I do get a treatment. Horse liniment, as someone mentioned, used to contain DMSO and that is considered by some to be rather controversial. I used to have severe wrist troubles. I do not know for sure what cured it, for awhile I used Blue Emu cream. I also got a heated mattress pad for my bed. I ordered stretchy wrist cuffs that have copper woven into them. I take vitamins. I think that helps a lot. Hope you find something that works.

I've been thinking that I might try physical therapy if Medicaid will pay for it and if any physical therapists around here will accept Medicaid. It won't pay for chiropractic and I just have to pay for it out of my pocket all the time. If I end up going to the chiropractor again, it may be next month since I get paid again around the first of March. I've had horses all of my life but I never have used any horse liniment on them or myself. The horses that we use at the therapeutic riding center are given glucosamine every so often, probably everyday. I don't feed any of those horses, myself, so I don't know how often they're given it. It sounds like the first chiropractor you went to is like some regular doctors if he didn't have time talk to you or anything. I'm just glad you found one you like and that will adjust you only if he thinks you need it. I always feel a lot better when I've had an adjustment, too. I remember your husband telling me that youall had a heated mattress pad. I never have met your husband but he seems like a nice guy. I especially like his sense of humor, lol! Kathy.

Hey cyrus! You aren't going to like what I have to say, but
I'm going to say it anyway! I worked for two chiropractors at
two different times years ago! I had one adjustment and swore
if they ever touched me again I'd kill them! I believe that
they don't do anything but make people worse and make them
believe that they are helping them! The make them come 3 times
a week for the money! And they are nothing but "doctor wannabees"
who weren't able to become Orthopedic Surgeons! I have tendinitus,
Osteoarthritis, Scoliosis (curved spine) and chronic pain and
I wouldn never let a Chiropracter near me again ever! I broke
my shoulder about 5 years ago and went to a reputable place
that did physical therapy 3 times a week! And they weren't
Chiropracters, they were Physical Therapists! There is a big
difference! Try checking out a place that does Physical Therapy!
The will be alot more qualified! I worked in the Medical Field
so I am telling as a patient too!

Hi Leslie! It sounds like you really have had some bad experiences with chiropractors. I never have had those experiences, myself, but if I had, I probably wouldn't go back to them, either. I never have been to a chiropractor that wanted me to come 3 times a week. Like I said, I have been to one who wanted me to come back the next week but I didn't go if I was feeling better. I really have a lot of allergies and they have helped me with this, too. I just might go ahead and do like you said. I might check out a place who does physical therapy and take my allergies to my regular doctor because Medicaid won't pay for chiropractic. The Hope Clinic here in town is moving to a larger and new location and they're adding more facilities, which will include chiropractic, dental, and eye services. I'm going to see if I qualify for it after they move because there are some things Medicaid won't cover. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

There are a lot of people that go to chiropractors these days. I have went before but I kind of wish that I hadn't. I do feel better after I go but the catch is that once you go, it's one of those things where you have to keep going back. They did want me to come once a week but I don't have the time or the money for that.

I use to go to a chiropractor who wanted me to keep coming back every week. However, I didn't go unless I hurt. I don't think they're this pushy any more. Chiropractors are very good about helping people with allergy problems and I have a lot of those. I'm thinking about checking out physical therapy and letting them help me with my joint problems and going to my regular doctor for my allergy problems. You see, I have Medicaid and Medicaid won't pay for chiropractic. First of all, I'm going to see if Medicaid will pay for physical therapy and if there are any physical therapists around here who will accept Medicaid. I think this will help me save some money in the long run because I've had to pay for chiropractic out of my pocket. Kathy.

i have been to an osteopath which is, i think, a very similar thing. I'd pulled a muscle in back and it hurt to even breathe. she had it sorted in 20 minutes. it was expensive but it only too 1 visit and normal doctors are hopeless when it comes to backs. My dad did a similar thing and it took him a week with Valium and strong painkillers to get sorted without osteopathy.

I've heard of osteopath but never knew what it was exactly. I've also heard of natureopath and have tried one of its techniques to get rid of a sinus headache. I'm glad it really helped you and especially after one visit. Chiropractors are good with helping people with allergies and I have a lot of those. The only problem is, I have Medicaid and Medicaid won't pay for chiropractic. I just have to pay for it out of my pocket. I think what I'm going to do is see if there are any physical therapists who will accept Medicaid and If Medicaid will pay for physical therapy. If they do, I'm just going to go to one for my joint problems and let my regular doctor take care of my allergies. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

Thank you, anniefannie. I may go sometime next month, if I do. It's just that my money is running low right now and I'll have to wait till I get paid again. In the meantime, I may do what Opal suggests below because I have Medicaid. Medicaid won't pay for chiropractic and I just have to pay for it out of my pocket everytime. I need to be feeling better in time for my birthday, which is Thursday, LOL ! What I mean is, I'm not going to dwell on my aches and pains and just have a good time. Kathy.
