Besides exercise, if you don't get out in the sunshine often, do that. Your body uses cholesterol to produce Vitamin D in the sun. Get out at least 15 minutes a day without sunscreen. What you eat can help to a minor extent because most cholesterol is produced in the liver. Stress and toxins can cause the liver to overwork. This is just my theory, but I think that's why so many people have trouble with high cholesterol any more. We don't exercise and to relieve stress and we eat a lot of contaminated food, drink contaminated water and breathe contaminated air. Go for organic food whenever you can and use an air purifier at home if you can.

hi peavey,
thanks for you response.
what i regret lately is my inability to maintain my gardening habit since i was so preoccupied with so much demands in the office lately, unlike before where i used to spend time - when i have in plenty - at gardening where i got to sweat a lot.
stress, pollution and toxins, maybe are the primary culprit in the health issues today, not only me but probably to most of us - it just so happened that i noticed this early, because i submit myself lately to medical check up. i was so curios about my health considering that i am already at my 40s, that is why. thou i worry a bit, but i know i can do something about this. of course i get a lot of good suggestions and enlightening comments here.
ever thanks...
take care

Yours is 7 while mine is 7.42. I am in the same boat and I have just returned from the doctor for advice. So what I am writing here is from the horse's mouth. I assume that your LDL Cholesterol which is the bad cholesterol is high. Than most probably you have it cause of hereditary factors. Put your effort on diet and reduce diary products, processed food such as ham, sausages, mushrooms, octopus, red meat, prawns, mussels. Eat more vegetables. Wish you luck. Exercise helps but what is most important is correct diet.
