do you give negative ratings to discussions?

I don't give neg to them if I nac as long as they word is respecting us but if it is a foul word. I will rate it neg to them.

hi there, i never give negative ratings to anyone, i only give positive ratings or don't rate at all, i usually rate all positive and if i feel i don't need to rate i don't, there are some lotters who deserve lot more ratings then what i have now, for some reason or the other some lotters rated them negative

I give negative ratings for, disrespectful and insulting behavior, as well as, when you are answer something that has nothing to with what I asked. I won't provide an example for the disrespectful or insulting, pretty straight forward stuff. But, if I for my discussion said. Why do you think the sky is blue? And you answered well CJscott, some times people just smile too much. I may be inclined to rate you negative, and ask you to "listen" to what is being said. I am big on listening, in person and on mylot, because even in our reading, we may not be devoting our full attention to it, and end up answering something completely different, it is either that, or I don't speak straight... I do give negative ratings to the discussions, but it happens rarely. I press that "minus button" next to discussion only if it's a really bad or senseless discussion. Luckily I don't encounter too many of such posts daily.

If a user is obnoxious, rude and calls others names, then I will rate them negative, then I will report them, as that is what mylot wants us to do. I will mostly rate positive, as we are all trying to have good ratings here, and I want to help others as much as I can. There are others I won't rate at all if their posts aren't quality, and don't have substance. Tlhey don't deserve a positive rating, but they don't deserve a negative rating either. I much prefer to rat users positive, so I will do that as much as possible. good luck to you and happy mylotting.
