Well there's no absolute standard for which how long we can use our mobile phones. This logic especially lies when we only use our mobile phone for sending text messages and calling relatives. But the reason is quite different if we're also really a mobile person. By mobile person I mean, that we go online on our mobile, receive and sending emails, maybe even streaming video and accessing maps through GPS. If that is the reason, than we must look for the newest mobile phone for at least two years I can say. For an example, I bought nokia communicator 9300i almost 3 years ago. At that time, I actually rather late to taste the 9300i features. But I can say that until now, the 9300i still good to use, but the thing is, after approximate half and a year buying the 9300i, its feature starting to be late. And that's the reason I bought nokia E51i afterward. But not long after that, nokia E52 already come out. Well, there's one more reason why you should change your mobile often. That is, mode.

After changing four mobile phones in a year,I found that the mobile phone is just a kind of communicated tool,so if it's good in condition, there's no need to change for a new one.So my suggetion,if your two years old mobile phone is still available for calling and sending the messege, keep it.

hello there, i think as long as its working good, as able to call & text, then you can still use it! actually right now, i am using a phone which is 5 years old already and so far it's still working good and no problem with its battery as well... the only problem that i encounter with it was when it gets infected by a virus. but after it was reformatted, everything back to normal again... good day!

The longest time I've used a mobile phone is for two years. I think it's okay if you use it mainly for sms or calls. But if you want more features in it and you feel it is a necessity that you really need then it is advisable to get a new one.

I am using my mobile for 5 years and still be using it. I know that it is out of fashion already but i only use my mobile for calling, texting and some other features such as reminder, calender. Because of this, i am really not into those mobile technology already. if you are asking me anything about mobilephone styles and latest updates, then i will be totally blackout. ^^

i cant tell exactly that for how many years we can use a mobile phone . it all depends upon the usage the quality and many other things . i have been using my mobile for the past three years and i have no problem with it . i think on an average we can use a mobile phone for about 4 years if its a good company's mobile .

I think it all depends on your phone usage and if you like the features of the phone, or want to change. I change my phone probably to much, as I change it once a year, but for soem that is to often. I really haven't found a phone yet that I was willing to keep for more than a year, as I think I like the phone, and it has what I want, but when you get right down to it, it is lacking in features. For instance, mine doesn't have a flash player or java, so some websites won't display properly. I thought it would be okay, but now that I think about it, there are things I wan to do with the phone when I am not home, that I can't do because of the limitations it has. I hope to get a windows moblie phone, or maybe a droid, but then I am not quite sure right now. I will just have to wait and see what is out there when I decide to upgrade. Take care, and have a very good day.

Nowadays, changing of mobile phone within 1 or 2 years time is quite common. One factor is that current phones aren't as lasting as compared to the past ones because of many factors such as the phone software caused the phone to be getting slower and slower etc. So with regards to your question, my opinion is that mobile phone can last me around 1 or 2 years time before I change a new one.
