Is MSN addictive?

I have noticed lately that whenever I start to study or do my homework, I usually leave my MSN open. Every few minutes I go and check if any of my contacts have said anything or things like that. I don't want to do it, but I do it automatically. Is this MSN addiction?

i guess most or all site are addictive.im always online in yahoo to wait for my friends to online while busy here in mylot. if i got bored i go to facebook to visit my farm in farmville. or maybe internet is really addicted.

It really seems so, I am quite addicted to mafia wars at facebook. But MSn is the worst case, I just constantly get distracted from my work...
