why there is color?

HI! As I know it from the biology lesson at school we can see the colors, because of our special eyes, and namely the Pupil! the pupil of the human eye has a very special and unique structure- against the pupil is the eye axilla. in this axilla there are three lenses with three different colors- green, blue and red. as we all know these are the basic colors and when they get mixed we see the whole color gama. and that's why we can see colors

As much as I've heard the reason for seeing colors is following: as you probably know the light spectrum consists of 6 colors: the red, blue, green, yellow, violet, and orange ( I hope I am correct on that point). You may also know that every object has ability to reflect the light spectrums. But there is a certain color spectrum, that can't be reflected by the object or material. It's actually the color of this object. So, as much as I know seeing colors is actually based on the reflection of the light. I don't know whether my explanations are clear or not, but I hope you have a little overview now. Talking about my favorite color...I think it's orange.

If there was no color you wouldn't be able to see anything. My fav color is blue. Why? Cause it is. jk its a very nice color.

my favorite color is blue..i am going to respond to this discussion because this is a very strange question...i am not going to describe how can i distinguish between different colors because as you have already mentioned you are a medical student and you know the reson better than me...and if there would be no color then everybody would be black and white as we can see in a black and white TV....
