According to you what makes a relationship?

Is hugging, kissing, sleeping together is a relation.I would probably disagree with that.
Do you feel that if there is an official status to a relationship then only it could be called a relationship or you feel that relationships are free of these restrictions?

When I was in high school that was sort of my definition of what a relationship is and should be like. But now that I've grown (a bit) older, I'd say it's a lot more transcendental than that. A relationship for me as I grew to find out is finding this person who complements NOT what I lack, but the entirety of who I am. It's being with this person who unconditionally makes me happy even in the simplest of ways (even if it's pushing me to a puddle of mud for fun), who shares and carries every burden I have (like when I found out my mom had cancer), who can unconditionally take me for who I am (even without my mascara and make-up on and still he'd tell me I look beautiful), and knowing that the certain togetherness you share is bound to be something more meaningful in the future. Anyway, I think it's easy to label togetherness as a relationship, but in my case what I shared is what I regard as a genuine one. Other outside of that can fall under the category of "hook ups." My two cents. Regards.

That made me cry, PocketRocketsAA. I think you've summed up exactly how I view a relationship, and you put it more eloquently than I ever could.

relationship means faith, belief and understanding.......it is based on careness..and the most common and important thing is love....without love i think there will last hardly a relationship...whatever may it be.may be it between father and son, between mother and children or friends or lovers....

The mutual acceptance of each other from the depth of the heart creates a lasting relationship. We may express it in words and signs and actions but purity must permeate above all interests and disappointments.
