You can design your dream life. Anything you want. You can live wherever you want. You can do whatever you want. You can be with whomever you want to be with. Anything goes. Where will you go. What will you do?
Me, I can see myself in Hawaii, in a little house about halfway up Haleakala on Maui, with a nice view of West Maui and the ocean on both sides. I have an unlimited library, music library, enough money that I don't have to work if I don't want to, my children are there, my cats are there and I can go snorkeling whenever I want.
What about you?

My husband, kids and I were just talking about this tonight at dinner. If I had the choice to pick a life I would have to pick what my husband calls the "prairie" life because it reminds him of the show Little House on the Prairie.
I would live in a warmer climate area perhaps a state like Georgia, I want a small log cabin house in the middle of nowhere near a lake. I want to be able to live of the land of sorts where we have cows for meat and milk, chicken for eggs and a veggie garden for fruits and vegtables. I want to home school my children and have a small crafting business that will allow my husband and I to both work from home. I want to have it to where we don't have to leave the house but maybe once a month for supplies. But while I want to be able to live simply I still want to have television and internet, phone I am not so big on but I guess I will also need in case there is an emergency.

I'm right there with froggies but not in Georgia! I think I would rather be in Southern Oregon, or even Northern Idaho. Oh and aside from the lake I want a creek running through my property.
I'm not much of a crafty person but I would make money farming and selling the produce, mylotting, and hubby would work on cars because that's what he loves to do!

I wouldnt be with you 2 thats for sure lol.
I wouldnt have a worry in the world. Id have a man (or more than one?)to take care of everything. He'd be the one to buy my jet, he'd be the one making sure all my castles and mansions around the world are always ready for MOI when Id decide to go there. Id be able to spend my time at my paintings.
Then Id sit by the ocean and watch you two in the water lol

Even if it doesn't happen, I know I will visit Hawaii every so often and snorkel. That will be enough. Husband is on very thin ice right now...

I would get immortality infinite wisdom and wealth. Then I would buy a nice lil house a nice white suit and watch humanity destroy itself. It's a slow process but well worth it.Oh and a cane with a sword.I plan different paths to take if ever this opportunity arises.I know it wont but I need something to do at nights.I sleep little and plan too much. This tires me well sometimes half a minute and i sleep.Even after High caffeinated drinks :)

But Dawn, there is no ice skating in Maui! Could you swap that for board riding?
Well, here goes it for boring old me.
I wouldn't want to be anywhere else or doing anything else or with anybody else. I love my life just the way it is. Of course, if there was a way of stopping the humidity here, I'd be in on that, but otherwise I'm happy the way I am.

I don't skate anyway, I just watch. But I'd want to have enough funds to occasionally see a live event.
Of course I expected you to say pretty much that. But maybe we can send some of the humidity elsewhere!

We have been talking about moving to Tasmania (that little island off the southern coast of Oz) but it has only been talk. However, much more summer humidity and . . .

You've obviously thought this through. I never have but what I would like to do is travel the world looking for places like yours in Hawaii. I'd like to live in various places, here and there, maybe somewhere in England, Scotland or Wales, maybe in Europe somewhere, not in cities but country towns and perhaps on an island somewhere...no idea where...the Seychelles or maybe even somewhere in the Pacific. It would be really great to have someone to travel with and enjoy things with...I wonder if there would be any gentlemen myLotters who would be interested in accompanying me?

dawnald I know this sounds silly butif I could design my dream life it would be right back to Tustin where we were so horribly evicted but not to ElDorado Gardens,no indeed no take that back this is my dream life we would have a ton of money ,we would buy El Dorado Gardens put the rent back down to about 800 a month, rent to ordinary working people, and I would be back in our old apartment but it would be with a new furnace and a built in shower that I could walk into with grip bars for me so I would not fall, my son would be in a very high paying job as a computer programmer par excellent and I would manage the place, collect the rents and also as we would have lots of money if a man or woman lost a job I would offer a break on the rent u ntil the person got a new job, maybe cut the rent in half for awhile for this person as we have plenty of money anyway and really help anyone who through no fault of their own were laid off, we would not evict anyone who lost a job, those who trashed the apartments or bothered other people might get evicted but not someone who got laid off, if nothing else I would see they got some kind of stop gap job until they could find the job they were suited for. Also my son would have a new car with driver lessons so he could drive and he would retire in his sixties. ah what a lovely dream life. I would have a garden too.[

It has taken me 2 hours for tis post to open up. am going insane and have to get someone to fix the problem that I am experiencing with Mylot. Just wanted to say that we always try to fix what happened to us and to make it better for other persons who may be suffering like we did. Your dream is beautiful and I am going t pray for it to come true for you. You are a lovely lady. Now I suppose it will take another two hours before I can answer this post from Dawn!

I would be in a big house, with 10 dogs, and a family of my own. I would have my own library, and it's open to the public. I'll also have my own NGO to help the homeless children in their education, and a shelter for animals. I would also like to have enough money so that I won't have to work ever again and I can help all those that I want to help... And Oh, I would also love to have a great body, well tanned, well built, and not have to exercise ever again in my life. Hahahaha.

NGO?
A dog or two would be nice also, but I'm a cat person. Maybe I could teach them to clean their own litter boxes!

You're better off getting young animals accustomed to each other. No telling what might happen with older ones...

oh, NGO, that's Non Profit Organization. Like a social service thing.
I never had a cat, maybe I should try it once. Though I'm pretty sure my dogs would not be happy about it. Hehehe

erehwon, my dear. have you heard of that place? or have you seen the little book that describes the place... i simply can't recall the author, because what i recall are the things he wrote about the place... and i am sure that the author is a he... i read the book after reading "of human bondage" by somerset m... but your dream reality, if you allow me to coin an awkward phrase, poses some contradiction in terms of money... who can determine when money is enough... i think, the principle and diary of thoreau applies here...

I imagine myself living in England, in the countryside to be exact. Somewhere nice with lot of greenery a small cottage perhaps but with lots of room for my dogs. I would love to be surrounded with lots of shelties licking me. Dogs are my passion. I would like to have a fireplace to stay there reading when it is a cold day.

A BIG house, with 3 or 4 master suites, and a separate area for the cats.
Loads of money.
A 2 story high library all wood with a spiral stair case and those ladders that roll along so you can get to the upper shelves.
An elevator.
A home theater (with those surround sound chairs) and a huge room for the videos.
A stable with a few horses (and someone to take care of them so I only have to go out to ride.)
A lap pool and a hot tub (and people to clean and take care of them too.)

I was going to write about an idyllic life in the country with lots of animals and beautiful sceneries complete with people I would pay handsomely for doing all the work for me but upon reflection I decided that it would all come down to money. I just wish for enough money to do what I want in life whenever I want and not have to worry about it. That’s it...I’m sick of worrying about our bank balance! My dream life? Enough money!

I would have a lot of money and waterfront property with a brand new custom built house on it but I'd still keep the original husband and cats (haha). I would also go to school, maybe open a little business, or both. I think I would try a whole bunch of different things, since my dream life would have unlimited funds. We would have fun building our home and getting everything the way we want it and then we would be able to start a family worry free.

I am honestly quite happy where I live but I do love to travel. My dream is packing only with carry on luggage and travelling to so many different places. If it was far away then I would want to travel first class or at least coach. Then if I got tired of wearing the clothes then I would just throw them away and buy new ones! Oh, I would have to have a laptop too and would buy books en route. Not having to work would be so heavenly to me. Blessings
