What the different of New York Today??

Hi Vandykusuma. It's been a couple of years since I've been to NYC. I lived there for 10 years before leaving the US and moving to Argentina. I got to Argentina to live permanently 3 days before the planes struck the twin towers. On my last visit there, what I noticed most was the amount of security. There were police and armed national guardsmen all over the place. Particularly at places like Grand Central Station and in the subways. It was very disturbing to me. With all my friends that still live there, they say all the added security is a big pain in the a$$! It takes a lot longer to get to where you need to go. A lot of businesses have left the city since those events of 9/11 too. If I had still been living there when it happened, I would have been unemployed because the company that I was working for shut down. The prices of things have really gone up too. The apartment I used to live in I paid $650 per month in rent. Now the same apartment is $2500 per month! It's just crazy! Most of my friends say that it's becoming a place that only the "rich" can live in and go to. It's just too expensive, in all the ways. It makes me so sad because it used to be a great place to live and just "hang out".
