now I only go thru 4 pages and then log off. I hate looking that hard to find a post thats worth contributing. How about you? How many pages are you willing to look thru and why?

I never log off I watch the icons across the top of the page and every time any of the money ones appear I land to see what has been posted. Did you see the discussions about IMReport yesterday? I joined in a couple of those, reported a heck of a lot of the others and had other tabs open in other interests. I moved out of MEM ages ago as indeed there is never much that gets a good discussion going - but hope is the last to fade

I'm not really willing to look through more than a couple pages to make a post. If I don't find one to post within the first two pages I usually go check my tabs 'started' and 'responded' and if I also have nothing to post on their, I just close mylot for a little while and check back later. Since there are so many discussions being added everyday though after about 20 minutes there's usually at least one or two good discussions to contribute something to. happy mylotting!

There was a time in MEM everyone would "discuss" the same exact thing and you would go thru pages and pages of the same stuff. Just a big time waster and rule breaker. I think mylot has been a great job of moderating so thats not happening any more.

Sometimes i just surf there and watch other discussions without contributing. I used to comment on a lot of topics when i started here. But now i think i am lazy compared with these times... i do most, id not all, in the money making section. I think that is the topic where i could help more. I would look till i get bored or i deside that i wasted enough time.

Not lazy, just nothing to say. I know what you mean though, I get bored easily these days and dont contribute either.

To be honest I don’t go scouting around the interests in search of discussions anymore, because like wise I was finding I spent more time searching and less time finding. Now days I have a simple routine, I check out what discussions have been started by my friends, often skipping over the bulk of them especially when one person has started several in a row. I take a quick scout through the top topics, then I go profile browsing to see what a few of my friends on here have responded too and that is where I get the bulk of the discussions which I end up responding too, in fact it is how I came to this one. In a way I am using the selectivity of my friends too speed up my own time on mylot, which is essential as I don’t spend all day on here. So I don't have a total number of pages which I am willing to browse through because I get more from profile jumping than interest browsing.

What a great idea, hope others are taking notes. I only hang out in MEM with hopes of finding other ways to earn online.

Sometimes, even after going through quite a few pages, there isn't a discussion topic which I want to respond to. Other times, on almost every page there's one or two topics that I find interesting. Well, when I can't seem to find a topic to participate, I will just move on to other things I want to do, like checking emails, reading news updates, working on my blog, etc. When I am done, I will switch back to myLot again to see if there are new topics added.
