Which do you prefer: Desktop or Laptop?

I prefer the Laptop as they're so versatile. We live in an apartment, so there's really not a whole lot of space that we can use to set a big desktop computer. But on the other hand I hear that laptops are harder to work on.

Laptops are just as productive as desktops and require a lot less. There isn't anything you can't do on a laptop that you could do on a desktop. For me I've always had laptops because they were all I needed. and knowing I had something that is mine that I can go just about anywhere with that is even better. Laptops are the way to go.

Not to mention that laptops are generally much more cheaper than the average desktop.

Hi, I prefer a laptop, hands down. Simply because I can get more comfortable while being online for hours at a time. I am not having to sit at a computer desk, if I don't want to. I can sit in an arm chair, a lazy boy, lay on the couch or even my bed and be comfy, support my back, all the way. I agree about the hardware thing though. I was able to do everything inside and out to maintain my desk top computers but the lap top is a totally different story. The downside to laptops is that if there is a hardware failure, it goes to the shop. This can have a huge repair cost. It is important to take very good care of your laptop for this reason. Space is another factor. The laptop is small enough that it doesn't take much room at all, whereas my desk top, which I still run, just not online, takes up a whole corner of the room! Space hog. Oh well. Where would we be without our computers be it big or small? Have a fantastic week! Cheers.

I also prefer laptops because they're portable and I don't like to be stuck in one place. The portability is a huge thing for me. However, my laptop is not the best and for me to continue liking my laptop over desktops I'm going to have to upgrade. Desktops have so much more potential and don't overheat like my laptop. They're also better for your posture if you own a good desk and chair, and have much better graphics. The main advantage to laptops is their size.

I can actually work on a desktop's hardware but not a laptop, so that'll be a disadvantage there, As for posture, I use large print so that I won't be bent over as much (also because I'm visually impaired).

i have both DESKTOP as well as LAPTOP. LAPTOP has benefits of providing mobile computing, unlike desktop. but desktop on other hand are much cheaper then desktop. I prefer to work on LAPTop NORMALLY.

Now I have a laptop, but in the past I had a couple of different desktops. I liked my desktops, but when the last one broke down, I decided to buy a laptop instead of a new desktop, and I am very happy about that decision. I have a wireless internet connection and I am able to go online anywhere in my country. If I am going away for a while I can simply bring my laptop and my wireless internet connection and then I can work somehwere else for a while. I love the freedom that it gives me, and I don't plan on buying a desktop again.

Laptops are harder to work on???? In which angle??. I have been using Laptops for more than 3 years now and I have been using Desktops for more than 10 years, and Laptops are way way ahead in terms of comfort, space, etc.

Desktops are fine but obviously laptops are better if you need a portable computer.

actually i prefer both, i love my laptop for its portability that i can carry it around especially when im out doing some projects, unfortunately there are tasks that i can,t do with my laptop like editing videos and pictures, and play some new games since some parts of it cannot be upgradable like the video cards, that's why i also rely on my desktop when it comes to that matter. happy my lotting

I have a desktop pc in our house. In the office I am using a laptop. I found that laptop is more comfortable and versatile to use since I can bring it anywhere. I can even just keep i inside my locker. The desktop is eating a space in the house. I even already put it different locations inside the house just trying to save some space. I am now selling it.
