Thick fog enveloping internet income

Hi, all: I'm 69 years old, semi-retired from the newspaper industry (sports writer at The Miami Herald) and living on Social Security and pension. I give significant monetary assistance to a lady friend, and that, combined with a sour economy that I fear Obama will make only worse, has awakened the realization that I could outlive my rapidly diminishing retirement nestegg. Consequently, I've invested $49 each in a pair of work-at-home programs. I don't regret that, but because I don't speak computerese fluently, I feel like I'm feeling my way through a thick fog. Has anyone out there actually discovered one of these programs that is simplifed to the point where you don't feel like you're learning a foreign language? I'd be interested in hearing about it. My investments are in My-Data-Team and Web Colleagues Internet Partnerships. I believe both are valid, but absorbing the what, why and how of each is draining. I'm persisting, but slowly. (I made all of 12 cents in one element of Web Colleagues yesterday.) Another week of that and I can buy a pack of guy ... I think.
