I am a eighteen-year-old girl study in China and I'll going to America for university this summer but the issue I am facing is that I haven't decide which disipline to choose.
I have studied science classes in the high school as major class so I am going to continue science program in the univ and I heard that it will be easier to find job as well. But what I want to decide is some specific program. Now,could you give some advice to me?thanks a lot....

I recommend something you enjoy, or at least, are interested in. There's nothing like spending 30-40 years at a job, while it may pay good, you dislike or even hate.
There's no reason you should make that choice now. The first two years of college are spent dabbling in all kinds of fields -- science, business, social science, foreign language... Check out all of them. Don't be in a hurry to box yourself in; try a little of everything. By your Junior/Senior year, you'll have a better idea of what program you want. For now, just be an "undeclared major".
When I went to school, I changed majors 8 times and changed colleges at the university almost every time I changed majors. Every dean in every college (engineering, business, arts and sciences, etc.) at the university got to know me. And I wouldn't have changed it for the world.

Oh~Thanks a lot for your advice my friend! What you said is just the same with the opinion of my consultant. She also told me that I can just choose the program at first which is named "undecided" and then find which field I'm interested in during the first two years and it will be convenient to change major as well, which is not like China.Thank you for your discussion.
