Well, i cannot stand a controlling man. i dated one many years back and he always was tring to tell me what i could wear and what i could not. who i could be friends with and so fort. so i kicked him to the curb. i have a friend who lets herhubbie controll her and hes a black man, but he is a nice person and not too harsh with her. some are just like that, i have no idea why.

LOL I believe that Coloured men truely only go out with white women because they are sick of being pushed around by coloured women...LMAO (Partially a joke)
Seriously, Coloured Women have struggled much much more than white women to get where they are. And they are stronger for it. White women are no where near as strong (mentally) simply because we havent been through generations of hell.

I dont know but I have seen that with a few of my friends who date black men. I dont understand it either. It could be that they know they cant boss a black women arround because she will tell him off and we tend to be more passive. Who knows there could be a million diffrent reasons.

The reason black women are notorious for being a dominating force in their families dates back to the antebellum South... I actually did a paper this semester on slave families and my research touched on this. The theory is that oftentimes the father in a slave family was not a constant presence in their childrens lives, for more reasons than one. First, it killed them to see their wives and/or children mistreated and not be able to do anything about it, so it was easier to marry someone from a neighboring plantation and just get passes to go visit. But sometimes they didn't even have this--men were often sold and sent far away from their families and it was the women who stayed with the children who were too young to be on their own. Thirdly, even if the father wasn't sold, and even if he did live on the same plantation as his family, he still didn't have much authority. Slaveowners saw too it that the men's authority was undermined as much as possible to keep them from getting feelings of power that could ultimately build and lead to rebellion. So due to these roots, black women instinctively are matriarchal and black men instinctively know that's how it works! Hope this helps!
