The bible says in Numbers 23:19 that God is not a man, nor a son of man God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? The bible says that Jesus is a man Acts 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: The bible also says that Jesus is a son of man Matthew 11:19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and "sinners." ' But wisdom is proved right by her actions." Does the bible clearly say that Jesus is not God ?

A little common sense here please - The book of Numbers was written centuries before the New Testament books of Acts and Matthew. What was true then could have changed centuries later. Some people believe Jesus is "part" of the holy trinity; others believe he is God in another form; and, others believe he was nothing more than a prophet of God. What you believe is up to you; but, applying texts that were written centuries before someone was even born to that person makes no sense.

That only holds water if you believe the Bible is written by men. If those men were Divinely inspired, and Jesus existed from the beginning as the New Testament suggests, then one can expect earlier Yhvh-inspired texts to take Jesus into account.

So you say that God changed from that state of "not a man" and "not a son of a man" to "a man" and "son of a man" and "son of God" later on?

Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Psalms 102:25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. 26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: 27 But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Jesus Christ is both God and Man. John 14:6, John 1:1, John 17:5,John 8:58, John 10:30, 1John 5:7. I have already given you verses since you asked for it. But it will always be your decision to decide because I will never push anybody here on what I do believe. Happy Mylotting.

If you describe man as having a physical body, God will never be man.We are made in God's image. We are spiritual beings in our true natures just like God.Is Jesus God??? Hardly.Jesus is a son of God.God has lots of sons and daughters. We are all capable of doing great deeds or we can choose to make angels cry. The choices are all ours. What will you choose???

hi, Gordano, If every thing stated in the bible is correct then this is also correct. He is son of man. No doubt in it. bile says that. Christian must follow this. And stop saying God for Jesus. I'd like to know the defination of God according to old testaments. -vine.

people tend to argue about the divine nature of Jesus Christ as a human being when there are other evidences in the gospels that are accepted as divine manifestations of his nature. we tend to stick on the literal interpretation of the word but never the truth in the word. as the councils of Nicea and the other ecumenical councils of the early christian church had come up with before, Christ is God as Man, therefore he is divine.

Simple logic can answer that question, GOrdano. If God does not lie and Jesus does not lie, then Jesus must be God. If JEsus is born of Mary, and Mary is human; then Jesus must be man too. Therefore, we can conclude that Jesus is both God and man.

Gordano, you must be careful of context. "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" This states that God does not lie or repent, it is a statement on God's faithfulness. Yes, Jesus is a man and also God so no problem with Acts 2:22, Matthew 11:19, etc. No, the Bible does not state Jesus is not God. all the best urban

O wise and prudent Gordano, Hey, guess what Jesus said about wise and prudent people? "At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent,..." Matthew 11: 25 Oh, how can you miss it? It's just 6 verses down.
