Do you dance with your kids?

I dance with my kids all of the time. I'm not a good dancer by any means, but it's fun and my kids love it especially my son. They fight over who gets to dance with me though. Its definitely good for wearing them out before bed.

One of my fondest memories was dancing in the kitchen when the music was playing. My kids said, "Mom, please stop dancing, everyone will see you". I asked why they were worried about someone seeing me dance. They said that my "butt" jiggled. I told them it was better to get my butt jiggling than to sit on it all day and not get any exercise. They made me close the kitchen door. LOL!!!!!!!!!!1

If I had children, I would love to dance with them or play games with them or help them with their homework or whatever else. That is so awesome what they did for you. Sounds like you all had a great time.

Well, my son is 10 months old. He dances in his own way and he starts giggling when we dance with him. Even when we sing to him, he'll start dancing. :) It's pretty fun and its fun to get moving around with him. :)

Tia, I don't dance with anyone... the only think close to dancing that I do is I sway back and forth with my wife when we slow "dance". The way that I look at it I have at least 18 years before I have to dance with my daughter at her weddding so I have som time to learn.

I have a four month old beautious girl and you bet I dance with her! Babies just love music and movement... it is the one thing that soothes her and puts a calm in her heart. We are big music people in our house so she is used to hearing music and rythym ever since she was inside of me... Dancing is a must!

When my son was younger I would dance while holding him and spin and he would just put his head on my shoulder. I would put a wiggles CD in and he just loved to spin around in my arms or move side to side. Sometimes he would fall asleep! Now he isn't so much into dancing.

my 16 y.o. son has been my best dance partner. he's into dancing and singing, and we're a good tandem. when i was with the rotary club, i used to get him perform a dance number with me when i happen to be in-charge of the entertainment. the bad thing is, he agrees as long as he picks the music and the steps. yeah, you got that right, we always end up doing the hip-hop teenage thing, LOL! can't believe myself being able to cope and do it :)

I can't dance! But when I was working in a pre-school, me and another TA had to stay after hours when everyone else left, and entertain hungry, cranky, and tired 3-5 year olds. ...So we used to whip out the CDs, and sometimes the musical instruments, and danced our feet off. A huge favorite among them was the Macarena, and they used to make me do it over and over so they could learn. It was so much fun, and it kept them busy and entertained. But that's the only time you'll find me dancing. ...that and the random times when I'm alone at home. :P

We dance with ours all the time. Whenever we have the radio on, they are always dancing all over the house, wanting to spin, twirl, jump. They are so cute.

LOL Omg we do that all the time..in fact I've been doin that with all my kids (which includes my nieces and nephews) since they were little ones...Even when my kids were infants it was commmon for me to dance with them in my arms and sing along with whtaever was playing on my stereo LOL

Oh I lack the rythym, but who cares it is soooo worth making a fool of my self. There is nothing like a childs laugh!!

I am still single. But I love to dance with my friends.

We love music. I have rhythem and I am trying to teach my kids rhythem. I had to learn how to keep a beat from high school. I was in the school choir. So I had no choice I had to learn it and i am trying to teach my kids.

I love dancing with the kiddos. Sometimes they teach my wife and I new moves! We like to dance with them when they've been naughty and just need extra attention. It also wears them out, which is especially nice when they've been naughty!! Oh, I lack rhythm, but that doesn't stop me from dancing like the white boy that I am!
