For me, its virtual life, because here i can do everything, and i find many people that appreciate me so much rather than in real life. For me real life is kind of nightmare, and living in virtual life is like living in a dream. What about u?? Which one do u like most?

That's a question my parents used to put in front of me for quite some time.
Ever since I was 17, I started looking into virtual worlds, games with virtual worlds, and virtual friends. I have never had many friends in real life to begin with, and I hated spending time with those I had because they were 'boring'. So when I finally found a game that I liked, with friends and world that I enjoyed, I stayed there for most of my time.
I did not go to school, (maybe I did, for once a week for one hour)I did not work, I did not visit my friends in real life, I did not spend time with my family and so on. I was addicted to the life that the computer showed me- beautiful, careless and magical. I could do there everything! I could fly, kill players, hunt "bad players" go bad myself, and even go to jail, lol. Then one day I woke up, (after about 3 hours of sleep because I tried to be 24/7 online) and went into the game... and then it hit me. I had nothing. All these friends that I got from that game, from ventrilo, from messenger, all these friends who had NOTHING to do with me in real life, they can't help me if I'll be in truble. I can't go visit them if I want to, I can't have a walk with them outside. I knew I neglected my real life friends and family, and I knew it was sort of impossible to recover these relationships, so I went into a deeeeeeeeep depression period, and it took me quite some time to recover.
Today I am happy to say that I keep in contact with my family, my real life friends, and even some of my virtual buddies. God bless them all.
I still play games sometimes, and if I do- it's only on the weekend if I am free. I keep in touch with everyone on facebook, skype, messenger, ventrilo, phone, and real life.
As to the question what world do I prefer?
I LOVE online worlds, as I said before- they let you do things you can't do in real life. They seems brighter, more colorful, better... but in the end- there is no replacement for the real world.
Therefore my reply is: Real life, with a little bit of virtuality in it =]

wow... i dont know what to say when i read ur story. I dont know if there is a person who really get addicted to the virtual life like u. Just like u said, real life will be more interesting with a little touch of virtuality. So we need to balance it between real life and virtual. Thanks for ur response ^^

yes, virtual life is more interesting if we're always looking for some fun. but time flies and you'll notice there's nothing this virtual life can give you. it's one of those escape from reality. those "used-to-be" interesting will slowly fades and you'll end up wanting for some other things to do..
so i'd rather appreciate the real life where real challenges await and where reality is. i cannot meet many people but id meet the few as a whole, not in only screens.

I think this question is so certain to answer. Real life is more interesting at any given moment. I know virtual life is full of different amazing things. But the most important thing to remember is that virtual life is unreal, it is only an illusion or in other words it is an escape from reality. Virtual life has caused many people their real life.

It all depends on who I can be around at the time. Basically all of my friends moved away to college this year so I don't really have a whole lot of people to hang out with anymore so I will just go into the virtual worlds of the computer or the xbox 360 or something like that. Virtual worlds can be awesome and are a great way to keep the mind occupied so that you don't drive yourself crazy with boredom. Virtual worlds can also help you to escape how mundane our actual reality can be.
Reality can also be the dream though. Their are moments when I'm with my friends or my loved ones that wouldn't even make me think about going virtual. I look forward to the summer to being able to see my friends again and hopefully for having more time to spend.

The virtual life has to be more interesting for me. I have more of a variety of people that I talk to. From all over the world, with different opinions and cultures. There is never really a dull moment for my virtual life. There are times where my virtual life and my real life tend to spill together, but for the most part, the virtual life can be rather entertaining.
Real life can be rather interesting as well. However, there is just something about it that is rather boring and dull for the most part. Real life can have many more problems. Not to mention that many of the people I know are rather similar in many ways. I do not get the variety that I do with my virtual life. So online is where the most of my great experiences occur.

In my virtual life I do all that things that I can not do in real life. But simultaneously I try very hard in my real life to achieve the things that I enjoy in the virtual life. Almost 90% of my efforts ends with failure but I see another dream and try to achieve it again.

To me the real life is more important than the virtual life.
i have a virtual life so that i can have my relationship in reallife continue for a long time..
i use it for long distance relationships with my old freinds..

it depends, i would say that virtual life is more interesting since its my only way to talk to my family, friends and boyfriend. and i can do a lot of things online, like watch movie i like, browse and even watch television online. i can watch my favorite show while browsing. personal life will only become interesting if im with friends, we are able to go out and enjoy the day.

I believe that the virtual life (like on MyLot) is more interesting because I am able to express myself without being judged or maligned and making friend from all over the world.
Real life can be unforgiving to those who can express themselves and "real people".
