I am writing this even before India won the match. After the thriller at Jaipur many were of the opinion that India did not prove their strength. Now this match at Gwalior today, batsmen did their best to take India to 401. They tore apart the south african bowlers.
Just when it was thought this is going to be a good batting pitch, the Indian bowlers proved that they too are in contention to claim credit for putting India on top of the ODI chart. In the first 15 overs they struck and struck it well by removing 6 batsmen.
Now this is something amazing thing happening. Critics are now silenced.
India wins the match convincingly.
(at the time of writing this, it was barely 17 overs completed.)

if the bowlers did not fire, then do you think India would have won the match? bowlers did justice to the huge innings sachin and others built. if the bowlers allowed SA batsmen to settle down, 400 would have been easily scored as the ground was smaller.

I really don’t think that critics need to remain silent. Yesterday’s match was a one-off, a particular moment in history and belonged to only one man who was destined to script that history. It in no way reflects the prowess of the Indian team. I would rather say a few good words about Dinesh Karthik though yesterday everybody was going gaga over Yusuf and Dhoni…I feel Karthik batted superbly in those initial overs, not only as an able support but also making quick runs himself. Regarding Yusuf and Dhoni, they both came in at times when it was easy and inevitable to take risks. About our bowlers, well they did no miracle either…most side would have capitulated on their own due to the tremendous pressure of runs to be chased.
The match at Jaipur pointed out yet again how adept we are at losing matches from good situations, it’s a shame that we own by only one run, ideally SA should have won. Nothing has improved for the Indian team, we have no ready reserve bench, we are still toying with probables and innumerable lobbies. I don’t think India will advance much in 2011 WC

That was a wonderful victory and Sachin again proved that he is one of the great cricketers which the cricket world has ever seen. Hats off to Sachin and Dhoni on this great victory. I am happy that Indian team with get the 2nd rank in ODI circket due to this victory. Sachin has defeated the hearts of cricket lovers in India, once again. My hearty congrats. I am sad that I couldn't view the match as I stretched my shift hours and worked in office.
