Do you ever check the profiles?

Many discussions get started and responded to here on mylot. I'm just curious how many take the time to check the profiles of the people who not only started the discussion, but responded to them as well. Do you ever think of sending friend requests based on what people have to say?

OH yes I do check on profiles too, like to get familiar with the individual, hopeful of learning some more about the person. If I feel is a good friend prospect may even send a friend request.

Thank you, Climber. Another great example of what being a friend is. Angelmaya, just speak your mind and share your knowledge and insight. You'll get the hang of it before you know it. Have fun and don't think of the money, it'll come. I can't speak for everyone on here, but you'll find alot of support from other mylotters like climber and myself. One recommendation to help you get the hang of this, read what others are saying before you post your response. Be comfortable!

OH I was just like that when I started. All you have to do is when you see a topic, reply with your opinion to it or lend our advice, just reply. When you do that be sure is a nice quality reply with at least 3 lines of text so it will count, that is all there is to it. The admin updates your credit in 24 to 48 hours from posting replies. You will see your balance starts increasing. When you post great posts people mark them as such and that increases your rating too, which is good for popularity. When you reach 10 dollars you can claim your pay as minimum.

I do check people's profiles here, often just to see where they're located (if we're talking about the weather). And sometimes I'll send a friend request based on what they have to say in a discussion, together with what their profile shows. If they look to be a "friend collector" then I don't bother.

I wonder if I seem to be a friend collector to others? I have a lot of friends, and I almost never delete any, but 95% of them have requested me. I have been requesting some new users of late, when I want to encourage them, or if they just seem to have similar interests.

No, if you were a friend collector you would have 21,805 friends and only started 1 or 2 discussion in all the years you were here. But make no mistake about it: you ARE a friend worth collecting!

You both deserve compliments. I have noticed some people start discussions but never take the time to respond to the responses. Having friends here is not just about increasing earnings, its about appreciation. With that being said, I find both of you to be very insightful. I appreciate and look forward to your discussions. Thank you.

If you looked at my profile, you saw the other ways I make money. Here's the thing, when I started on mylot, it too was a way for me to make extra money, but I started to enjoy being here and some of the discussions are quite interesting. When i was trying to make money here, I wasn't making much at all. After I'm done responding to your response, I'll be checking out your profile and see which discussions you've started and responded to. Happy mylotting!

You mean like someone having a lapse of intelligence and maturity, or maybe they sound like they've had too much to drink? I have to admit, I'm not perfect and it really depends on my mood as to what I'll say, which discussion I'll respond to and worse than that, which discussion I'll start. In the end, it kind of brings out a who's who on mylot. I guess it's all about versatility and not being afraid to "test the waters" without insulting or offending anyone.

You are good if you answer a few discussions each month, and you seem to be pretty active here as well. I don't worry about the age, their maturity or immaturity shows in their discussions. Keep up the good work moon!

I always check profiles before I accept or send a friend request. It helps me determine if they are active, what kind of activity they have and if we can enrich each other with our friendship. Take care.

That is certainly a great way to look at it. I do seem to enjoy that aspect of mylot more than anything, you actually get a good idea about a person through their discussions. Have a great day!

actually everytime i have a friend request,i chek the profiles ,,just curious but i will always add them regardless..esp those posting on earning online members, just wanna see what they are into..also reading some of the postings of a member gives u an idea what the person is like, one never knows, may come across a one you can totally relate to here in my lot..so the way one writes pretty much says a lot about the person n their outlook on things in general..

Sometimes you have to get funny even when the topic is serious just to lighten things up and it things as a discussion and not an argument. Sometimes its a good way to get people back on track and thinking clearly because anger often clouds our true intelligence.

If a person appears to be interesting, or a discussion strikes a chord with me, I will check a profile. Sometimes I will request a friend as well. I do not always request friends, usually they request me. I have lots of friends that request, then I never see them again. I am pretty laid back about friends until they spam me, or are rude and inappropriate, then I will delete them. I also have friends that disappear for months and years at a time and then return. I like to think that most of my friends have really important,or interesting, fun things to say.

I never check profile of the author of the post I respond to . I only briefly scan the profile of the members who send me a friend request. Sometimes a person writes a great response and I then go and see if I can anser any of their posts and if i can , then I ask to be thier friend . But even then I don't read their profile.

I do check profiles from time time, to see what banners they have on there, as I like to check out sites that I may not be a member of then I will join a site if I like the looks of it, and they have been paid by the site before. I also will check profiles to see if they have been active or are inactive, as the ones who aren't here and not active, I will delete them, and by doing so, I only keep the active ones on my friends list. I will go to my friends profiles when I want to see what discussions they have started, and if they have something I will be interested in posting to, then I will do that as well. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
