why is it that most poor family have a lot of kids

that's an irony, homeshoppers. but it's as real as the back of our hands. you know why poor families have more children, it's because they have no other forms of entertainment, besides they don't care about family planning or doesn't have the money to buy contraceptives. the only money they have is not even enough to feed their months. in the provinces though, the reason is different. they want more kids, so that more hands will help the parents when the kids grow up.

Yes, i am agree with you. There is two reasons that i have found. I live in village as well as town, so i have experiences to observe both rich and poor families. No. 1 reason. Most of the poor families are illiterates and they have not the sufficiant awarenesses about family planning. They have not the money power to encounter several problems, so they need men power. No. 2 reason. Some families seek a boy to prolongate their inheritance but unfortunatly they give birth many girls waiting for a boy. So list of children increases. Lol.

In fact bringing up a child needs a lot of money. Perhaps poor people don't pay attention to it and they just care about the quantity rather than quality. And they think more children means more income in the future. Perhaps this is why they want more children. I love China

that was big question to me also.. hmm i think some of them doesnt have any work to do or things to make them busy thats why they will come to the point to make babies, also there were not well educated about family planning, and they were thinking that children are wealth, well i believe to that but you need to be serious also on how to raised them in a nice way for them to help you back.Today its big problem of the society poverty and big population that cant take of any programs that can help them for me, just do what you can stand to....

A good question, well i believe poor family lacks education. The awareness and health effects of having more kids is less. They most often doesnot care more about kids future, educating them will help in their planning on kids.

i think its becoz of the lack of education among themselves. Since they are uneducated so they suffer from poverty too. these poor people dont know that small family means happiness and less burden. they think that more family members means more income in family.

Hello homeshoppers, i do not think they think about the future, if they did, they must be prefer to have 2 or 3 kids. This poor family sometimes make their children work too to earn so they can have enough money to buy some foods. I feel so pity with them, but all i can do is just pray that they would have some money so they don't get hunger.

Because they do not know about family planning and most believe in old tradition of having a family they never allow any contraceptives to be use by the mother or the father. most of the reasons they have lack of knowledge and lots of misinformation which resulting to uncontrolled population. I think it is the responsibility of the health worker to guide those illiterate family so that they would be aware that having children if they are not financially endow would result more for them to live in poverty.

Maybe they cannot afford to do anything else for entertainment! I really don't know. Maybe they don't believe in birth control or it is not as available to them.

I think that most poor family peoples think that if they more kids they are able to Eran more then more money which is totaly wrong thinking they people never be spouse to be give better future to their children.

well, they usually don't think about future..they don't have any idea about plan..as long as they can run, they think they can survive..they don't worry much, and that what makes them HAPPY..the rich who thinks about the future are always worried about tomorrow, so they find all means to "gather for the rainy days"..and although it makes them feel secured, it is also the source breaking families...only few can balance their choices of whether they will become HAPPY or SECURED..

Here in my city I see a lot of this. A couple is poor, no food and nothing to do. WHat do they do to kill time? They mate! And they have lots of babies due to no protection used. And that's why the world is a pile of garbage. Overpopulation brought too many problems and it's all due to people not being able to control their impulses.

What to tell about this matter we cant tell anything but according to me the illiteracy is the main problem
