I slept on a bus trip from Vilnius to Tallinn and it took all night. I was traveling with my son and he was 13 months old. We got the front seat upstairs with lots of leg room. I slept a little but didn't like the loud message in the middle of the night saying we had arrived in Riga. I took my son when he was 20 months old on a 12 hour flight from London to Cape Town. The flight was meant to leave at 19.00 but due to fog it didn't leave until 01.00. We both slept very soundly on that flight. The time difference was minimal and so I felt fine after that long journey. I always sleep on trains very well indeed especially if I am on a bunk. I have a travel pillow and a sleeping bag. The train makes a lovely noise as it moves along and the motion rocks me to sleep. I don't sleep well on overnight ferry trips if the sea is rough. I went overnight from England to the Netherlands. It felt like my bunk was rocking back and forth. It wasn't relaxing enough and my friend that I was with felt upset about the high waves.

I tried to sleep on that overnight ferry as well except I opted for one of the seats. Waste of money really because I ended up finding a nice cozy spot on the floor!

I really don't sleep when travelling now even if it is a long trip, because when I wake up im feeling dizzy, and have headaches, I'm always like that when im trying to sleep on a travel that's why i gave up, now when I feel sleepy on a trip ill hook up my ipod and listening on my rock music. My ipod is a must have when im travelling :D

I sleep at night when I travel on a train or bus. Because at this time I do not know what to do except sleep. :) But if it is in the day when I am on a vehicle, I will see the scenery out of the window.

If you are tired enough you can sleep anywhere! I slept on the deck of a ferry traveling from Athens to Haifa, Israel with a stop in Cyprus. It took 3 days and I can't say I was well rested but thankfully the weather was warm and sunny.

I never sleep when I am in motion I simply cannot do it. I have to be totally aware of my surroundings at all times. If I am on an aeroplane, car, bus, whatever mode of transport it may be. I have to be awake regardless of how tired I actually am.

Yes I always sleep everytime I travel especially inside the van. Everytime I sat inside the vehicle then I begin to fall asleep even my travel is short distance. I can't hold myself to feel this habit of sleeping while on travel. There is one time happened to me that the driver woke me up because I had reached already the destination or the station. Well I still can manage until now my sleeping habit when traveling. Thanks friend and have a nice day.

hi! yes, I sleep sometimes when i travel and when there is nothing interesting to see or when i am tired from the travel, because sometimes I have to travel at 01 am and the travel takes more than 8 hours so i must take a little rest at least :)

I rarely sleep when I travel. I usually travel by car and I'm the driver. Sleeping would be bad! Even when I'm traveling by plane, train or bus, I don't sleep...there's too much to see.
