What do you think will be accomplished with this summit? I am hard - pressed to see any need in having one. Obama has his opinion and will not, nor has he ever listened to any GOP input when it comes to healthcare. Proposal after proposal has been given to the him and it has been met with "crickets". He says that he wants "bipartisanship" on the bill but I believe he only wants his version of it. What do you think will be accomplished with this summit? What are your thoughts?
Sincerely in Christ,
Leesa C.

If he cared so much about bipartisanship and getting the republican opinion too, why did he already start pushing another version of the health care bill days before the summit?
'nuff said :)

Tell me about. Sounds like it's just a photo op for him at the expense of the GOP lawmakers.

Bipartisanship is a joke to Obama and democrats. They want bipartisan "support" not bipartisan input on the bill. They have refused to accept ANY input from republicans on ANY of the bills they've proposed and this one is no different. They think having dinner with republicans is bipartisanship.

I'm with you. I think nothing or very little, at the most, will come of the summit. I don't think Obama thinks anything will come of the summit either. I'm so distrustful at this time, I think he thinks they'll be able to use the failure of the summit to their advantage later this year. How he's misjudged the American people!
