I can write and draw with both hands. Of course I am better with my right though. I learned to use both sides when I was younger, and playing sports. When you play sports you want as little handicaps as possible to have an advantage over the enemy. Being able to use both sides will make you faster, deadlier opponent. It was encouraged when I played baseball. You get up to bat, the other team sees you are a right hander, so they throw in a left hander to make it hard for you to hit. When the left hander gets on the mound, you just switch sides of the plate. muahahahaha.

That is a lucky skill to have.
I can only write with my right hand.
In school when I was about 5,there was a little boy who had his left hand pinned into his pocket so he had to write with the right hand.
They don't do that anymore thank goodness.
I can do some things left handed but it is more awkward.

Congratulations for having a talented daughter! I am right handed and when i was in high school i really tried to learn how to write using my left hand but my penmanship is not good. Mainly i tried it so that i can sign documents using my left hand. My father has similar talent. He is using his right hand in writing but for other skills like cutting something using the knife or scissor, he uses his left hand. I don't know how he do it but i definitely salute all those who have such talent.

amazing..my daughter has the same...when we eat, she sometimes put the spoon on her right and the fork on the other hand..but sometimes, she uses spoon on her left and fork on the right, just like the way when she's using the other way around..maybe it's part of human development..

Wow, that's awesome! I'd love to be ambidextrous! I used to be left handed when I was just a toddler, but my mom kept making me use my right hand, so I'm right-handed now. I used to be able to write legibly with my left hand on a chalkboard, but I haven't tried it for a very long time, so I don't know if I've lost the ability. I hope not!

I'm a right handed person. My left hand is weak and i often don't use it. When i was still young i wanted to learn on how to write using my left hand but my parents corrects me so i didn't learn. I do know someone who are good in using both hands in writing and she's pretty talented. I guess your daughter will grow up talented also. This person i know is good in constructing words, problem solving, independent, resiliency, god in leadership, quick thinker, easily adapt and creative. These personality traits are opposite to what i read online. They said mixed-handed person are more likely greater risk of mental and language problem.

My high school teacher can do that too. I can use my left hand in writing too but my hand writing is too bad. I think people like your daughter have natural talent when it comes to this aspect. I think her brain have a proper coordination between the two sides. She can actually control her left hand left hand with her right lobe and right hand with the left lobe. Its really amazing!

Yeah, this is a good skill. Somehow, I have heard that the use of hands is related to brain domination. If you are left handed, you are usually more right brain dominated. If you are right handed, you are usually more left brain dominated. Right brain is usually for lateral thinking and left brain is for logical thinking. So if someone is able to use both hands alternately, then he/she can develop both parts of brain better and be a more well-rounded person.
