It is well known that many mammal have hibernation. Why human being do not have it? If most people get hibernation in winter, metabolize will reduce, the less energy people consume, the more resource will preserve. And it can relieve the burden of the environment.

Humans can think rationally. We can prepare for whatever season or weather will come. We can store food, buy necessary clothes, prepare our house... that's why we can continue living our lives despite these changes.

We have the ability to grow and preserve food in the winter. I believe that is why we don't need to hibernate during winter.

That is really interesting! I guess I never thought about why other mammals hibernate, but humans do not. Obviously, we are a completely different kind of mammal, but at the same time I definitely see your point about saving the burden of the environment having to support all this life all year round. Humans don't hibernate, in my opinion, probably because of the fact that we wouldn't be able to survive without supporting ourselves all year round. For instance, it would be ok, I'm sure, if we chose to sleep in the winter just like other animals, but who would pay the heat bill, where would we stay, etc.? It just makes me think what the world would be like if all humans really did hibernate in the winter like other animals. Wouldn't that be interesting? This is a really great thought.
