Hi all, I would like to know if you are an iPhone owner? Have you ever encountered any problem with iPhone so far? Even if you have yet to own an iPhone, have you heard of your peers or anyone complaining to you about iPhone problems?
You see, a friend of mine owns an iPhone and it's not even 6 months down the road and her iPhone has encountered quite a few problems. She even had a new replacement for the faulty one but problems still arise and as of yesterday, her iPhone completely shut down and refused to be powered on. Although now I am waiting for her update on whether the online method of having the charger plug in to the iPhone and then rebooting the computer works, but I asked for your input about what you have heard or encountered till date.
Please do share with me. Cheers

Few years ago, because of the change in my job position, I needed a smart phone. I worked for a cell phone retail store for a little bit & I still have few friends from where I used to work. Initially, I have bought blackberry pearl 8120. One friend let me borrow his iphone, he's a real "cell phone buff" & he was going out of the state for a week on vacation. It was first generation I-Phone & I hated it. It used to always drop calls in a places where other people with phones on AT&T network never had a problem. Then about a year later, give or take few month, my phone was acting up & same friend let me borrow his I-Phone agin while I shipped my phone to a service center, this time it was i-phone 3G. I figured it now has 3G & being that it was 2nd generation phone, it would get better. Nope! It got worse. Phone calls would just drop out & text messages never came through or came through hours later. Thought it was AT&T network but it wasn't. When I got my pearl 8120 back, I got his iphone & another AT&T phone right next to each other & sent both of them a same exact message. One came through fine in less then a minute. His I-Phone 3G, which supposed to have better data service & coverage being that it's 3G, didn't get the message. This was around 5 pm. I gave the phone back to my friend & the next day, around 9:30 in the morning, I get a phone call. It was my friend with I-phone. He said he just got my message & asked me what the message was about. Really? It was sent 16 hours ago?!?!?!?! So he & I got together & started to play around with phones. Dropped calls were more frequent on his phone. And display never looked right, for my preference. I understand this particular issue with display isn't really a mechanical problem but more of personal preference issue so may not apply to everyone. Battery didn't last long enough for me. Similiar story with I-Phone 3Gs. For some people it may be working out fine but not for me. I'm not saying blackberry is all that. They have their flaws, too. But I'm having much easier time with blackberry 9700 then I ever did with all 3 versions of i-phones.

Woah! I didn't know about this at all. Maybe I should tried it out with my sis iPhone compared with mine as well. Hers is the 3GS one. If only I could find people with the 1st and 2nd generation. It's really the first time I heard about this issue. Thanks for sharing.
