I can't believe it's been a year since I got this computer! Yes, I got it in February 2009 and I guess you would say it was a birthday present to myself. I really have enjoyed it, too, even if I have had a few problems with it. My old computer was a used one and it died on me several years ago, LOL! I just hope this one never dies on me. I was mainly looking for a way to earn money at home but I have learned about so many other websites such as youtube, pandora internet radio, facebook, and so many other enjoyable websites. I've just really had a ball!

Yes, dranhh, it is enjoyable. Thank you for wishing me a happy birthday. I've had a good day, although I'm very full from eating so much. I will consider cutting back when the cake is gone, lol! Thank you for responding. Kathy.

The problem with birthdays is once they are over it seems like only an eyeblink and there is another one passing by. Lily, you are right about the cake especially if it is cheesecake or ice cream cake, but on my last birthday I ate too much cake because it was spiked with something that made me awfully giggly and probably not fit to drive. I am a teetotaler so that wasn't really funny, but it seemed so at the time. The cake was really tasty though, with expresso and raspberry puree etc.

I'm glad you enjoyed building computers so much! I wish I knew how to build one. I think if I did, I might know how to fix them if I start having problems with them. I'm just thinking that. I don't know for sure. This is the second computer I've bought and I hope it will be the last one. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

I loved it but when I got a puter I had to ;llearn alot and its not the same at all we need different training on that windows my first one I had good advice from alot of people to fix what ever went wrong the newer ones are harder as they want to look at it to see whats wrond and my people lie to far away to get it to them to look . There is alot to learn about them after every thing gets inside. and we didnt get to put the drivers in at all I know I kept my last one and I have aplace to buy parts from reasonable and get some of the money back through a program I am in. Just really need to find what I need and money to buy and get with it. My son built his last one this way. and I still have most of my tools to do it with.

I don't know how I managed without a computer in the past. I had heard of youtube before I got it but I don't guess I really understood what kind of website it was exactly. I have a stereo and quite a collection of records. However, my stereo hasn't worked for quite sometime and I don't know if it can be fixed or not because I'm sure by now it would be considered an antique. I'm so thankful for websites like youtube and pandora internet radio because I can hear all those old songs again. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

It sounds as if it is the gift that keeps on giving. Both of my computers are a lot older than that. I am fortunate to have little or no trouble with them though. I would like to buy a very inexpensive netbook soon, as it is perfect for writing online and traveling. There is a lot to learn online, and I am one who will continue to do that.

Yes, I agree that there's a lot to learn online. I think children these days are fortuneate to have the internet in some ways. I remember being in the library one time a few years ago and there was a little black girl in there who was going to do a paper on Rosa Parks. She was needing some help on finding information on the computer. I thought to myself, we had to use the encyclopedia when I was that age. I'm sure Rosa Parks is in the more up-to-date encyclopedias now. Most encyclopedias have information on the past. As I'm sure you already know, you can get more up-to-date information off the internet. Kathy.

It is very good to know that you completed one year with your computer. I think now it needs up-gradation because technology is changing too fast. So rush to nearby computer vendor and ask him to upgrade your computer...

Thank you for responding. I have to really watch my pennies these days. If I can come up with the money, I will upgrade when I need to. I know everybody these days is having to watch their money due to the economy. However, I'm living on SSI, which is a part of social security and I really have to watch what I spend. I have often wondered how people living on social security/ssi are making it. Kathy.

Right. Isn't the computer an amazing thing? You can do so much things on it, and better still, you can use it to earn some cash. Yes, I love my laptop as much as you love your computer. I guess life would be boring without it.
