With each notification I learn something new - notification that my discussion/response/comment has been deleted for so and so reason. Honestly I find there is a thin line sometimes between what is allowed and what is not. Else why should I crane my neck and get my activity deleted!! Sometimes I take a risk - should I or should I not? But the discussion is so tempting that I go ahead at the risk of that response getting deleted. Anyway whats in a point or two if it has given me joy to participate in that particular discussion!!!What about you?

If it is clear to my eyes that the discussion has a big possibility to be deleted, maybe I fear I won't... but I usually found out that most cases this is happening to new members here in mylot that missed reading the TOS, and perhaps depended info from us, so I think I have some responsibility to remind them even it entails a waste of mine. New comers should be shown hospitality and kind welcome from us...
But even me, I still had posted one that violate the... so I always reminded myself from not doing it again...

Yes that is it my friend. We should encourage them to be active on discussions. I sometimes notice that dear post were ignored, replied by very few, haven't you? Please correct me if I am wrong.

I don't consider being a newbie any more. I hope I am right! There are quite a few seniors here who clarified my doubts willingly and now I in turn am doing my bit too!

Hi allknowing
It seems you are getting lots of notifications. I got my first notification today that also on an old discussion of one friend and I too surprised why it deleted and why took this much time to get a deletion if there was any violation. Now it is our responsibility to check the violation before posting that also on close scrutiny if we want to avoid the deletion of our responses. In fact it is always not possible to find out the small faults or judge it whether it may face any cut in future. Now the risk is in our hands.

I dont think the notification is compulsorily on. If you wish you can make it 'off' Just check again. I am referring to friends' notifications.

Hi life, good morning, yes the notification is turn on automatically when we add friends. It starts after the upgradation. When adding friends I would like to keep the notification 'on' so this new trend is favouring me. Later I will decide whether to keep the notification 'on' or 'off'.
Have a nice day.

I only recently got a couple of notifications that my response to a discussion was removed because the whole discussion was removed. They seemed to be the old discussions that were frivolous in nature. I guess I must not stumble on those ones you speak of but I just keep typing away no matter what the subject because who knows what will or will not get deleted.

Well, after I read the guidelines the 2nd time, I realized I learned alot by paying attention. I have had 3 or 4 deleted in the last 2 or so days, but when I was answering the old discussions, I couldn't believe they were even allowed, but someone said back then the guidelines were different, so I thought in that case it would be alrite to respond. I was wrong, but I took the risk.

If one enjoys a discussion one should set aside the fear of it being deleted and get on with gay abandon. What say?
