hi gany!
Thats cool to watch our national hero after having a heavy meal. Here in the philippines, we all have a gathering when our very own Manny Paquiao fights. The delayed telecast us usually done after meals so we watch his game again after a heavy meal with my friends and countryman :)

A lot of people get the craving to sleep, especially after a big meal. It is said that this is because when we sleep we use up less of our reserves. That's a good thing if you are a wild animal that needs to catch it's food and isn't sure when he will eat again, but for people this means that you will build up additional fat that (most of the time) we don't want. So if you are trying to gain weight sleeping right after eating can be a good thing (this is also why dietists advise not to eat after dinner; it's getting closer to bedtime).

I love having a nap after lunch. It refreshs me.It's also a tradition here to have a siesta at noon.

been there done that. It happens when I had less sleep the night before. After lunch I feel so down and i can't open my eyes. i sleep for about one hour i guess. but more often i cant sleep because im distracted by noise. after the siesta i awaken more refreshed which is good but have trouble sleeping early during the night.

I never sleep after lunch, because i cant do that. I cant sleep in my office. And at home, i never do that either. I dont like to sleep after eat, because if i do that, when i wake up, i dont feel good. My body is getting heavier than before. So I never do that anymore. I prefer to browse on internet, or watch TV, or talk with friends in order to not feel sleepy.

me, i dont sleep after meals because there is a belief in Philippines that you might have a very bad nightmare (even its a morning lolz) if you sleep when your stomache is full :). We have to rest first after eating before doing anything. I also feel sleepy at times but I manage not to have a nap after eating. I'm just scared of the nightmare lolz :)

On weekends when I don't have to work, yes, I do take afternoon naps. This is to make up for the lost sleep over the week. Anyway, studies have shown that afternoon naps boost work productivity, and should be encouraged. How nice it would be if my boss implements afternoon naps for all employees.
