I love reading whatever, wherever. I do have some ebooks, but despite their convenience and availability, I still don't get the same thrill in reading them, as I have on real book-binded books. Maybe I just find comfort in knowing that they're available and easy to get. :)) How about you? Would you prefer ebooks over books? :)

To whatever extent may technology (until information goes to our mind by even a very quick observation like scanning), a paper book will have it's importance as it has today. ebooks has an advantage when you need to get any reference in a limited period of time.Otherwise in every case i prefer paper bound books. one , you cannot concentrate on a computer screen until you have prints, two, cannot do markings, jotting some important facts, etc.

I'm collecting books since 30 years now, and I love them. A few years ago, I was laughing about ebooks. But I have some eyes problems now, and I feel more comfortable with ebooks, because I can choose to use large readable fonts. Even with my glasses, I must drop a real book after a few pages, but I can read without trouble an entire ebook. An ebook will never replace an ink and paper book, but it can be useful when you become older and visually impaired.

I prefer my hard or soft cover books, thank you. They are more enjoyable and you can relax with them. No need to sit up the whole time. That is just not done. TATA.

No, I don't prefer e-books over real books because even though the content is the same, I agree that it's not as thrilling as when you read a real book. Also, reading on the computer puts too much strain on the eyes because of the computer radiation. Sometimes, because I don't have enough money to buy the book I like, I just resort to reading on the computer. The result is that I finish the book slower than when I read a real book.

I don't like ebooks at all, they just feel so impersonal. I probably sound crazy, but for me there is nothing like the feel and smell of a good book. I like to curl up on the sofa with a blanket and a mug of hot chocolate when I read, you just can't do that properly with a laptop on your knee.

hannanable78, Being a recent owner of the latest digital and technological gadgetry - e-Reader, I just have to admit that the experience is much different than reading from a conventional paperback. However, I just cannot withhold my appreciation for this timely invention's introduction which has brought a load of conveniences and quality to our daily life. For a start, gone are the days of having to lug around heavy books with me everywhere I go. You will love the device being environmentally friendly where it cuts down on paper usage. You will find notation with the e-reader to be much more flexible and convenient where the information could be easily extracted without mutilating damages that could happen with a conventional paperback. You can search for a certain word within a book or within your library of books, to find the information you want quickly. There is also another great feature which you will appreciate with the e-reader where we can manipulate the text's font sizes to suit our preference and legibility without having to lug around the cumbersome and traditional magnifying glass. Not forgetting, night reading without a torchlight or having to light up the entire room. Last and foremost, a new procurement experience where we can literally buying a load of titles and subjects in the comfort of our home. One where we can read any books we want to buy without having to be physically present at the stores, saving a load of cost and time on traveling. You will also find the prices of the digital version to be relatively much economical.
