I honestly don't think you need to give gifts for every occaision. There are different ways to express love and appreciation on those days. For birthdays i plan a special evening with my boyfriend, anniversaries I do something real special that I normally wouldn't do, depends on how creative I can get. I mean love isn't found totally in gifts and with this economy who can afford gifts? You can make something, write a love letter, surprise him/her with dinner and a rented movie or a steamy shower *wink wink*

I usually like to. I really enjoy giving gifts. Sadly, the last year or so, we've both had to do without as we've been too poor.
