Why is it this famous saying "me time" doesn't seemed to get used much?
I have 2 young kids and I keep saying I need a bit of "me time", but my "me time " is when I go to work, so you wouldn't really call it "me time" or would you?
It maybe work but its still a rest from the chores and kids!
Whats your opinion, do you find "me time" or do you us work as your "me time"??

My "me time" is the moment when a new idea strikes in my mind and I eventually start working on it.For example, when Mom is not there at home I find it interesting to look for a new recipe from internet and cook accordingly. The entire endeavour is "me time".

I would definitely NOT consider work to be 'me' time. I have a recreational activity I do once a week. My daughter stays home with my husband during that time. It's just a few hours. Then on the weekend I get most of one whole day to myself, my mom likes to keep my daughter so they can have some time that is just for them. It works out well. My husband used to have to work on the weekends so I would really be alone while my little one was with my mom. It is nice. When she is gone we may go see a movie, hit the mall, or even just take naps and lay around and watch TV! I am grateful to my mom for that, there are some days I don't know what I would do without that time every week.
