I find myself questioning myself about certain situations, take for example, I'm walking down the street and someone bups into me, I find myself apologising for the incident, when infact it wasn't my fault.
I've had on many occasions in a busy area where someon's stood on my fault and I still apologise!
Why is this, do you do the same or wait for an apology from the person to blame??

friend, your behaviour shows that u r a kind hearted person, who does not want to hurt/harm anyone.
Yes I am a polite person. I value relationships a lot, so in order to maintain relationships, many time i say sorry, even if i have not committed any mistake.

Well i used to be like that and it would really irritate me when the person would just ignore me or worse get rude about it. Now i treat each situation differently and wait to see the persons response. If they apologise i will likewise out of mutual politeness. If they say nothing, i follow suit again. If they get rude, I wil fully explain that it was there error so they are not mistaken again lol. It's good to be polite but being a doormat is not good, and people don't apprieciate, so look out for number 1 a little more!

There is no point of waiting for a person to apologize when the person doesn't understand what an apology means or what does it mean by being polite. It's like teaching an Donkey the equation of arithmetic. But some way or other you can still figure out a way to be polite at the same time earning an apology from the person to blame. There comes the maturity of handling an issue.
