..my mother said that when my brother was bitten by our 2nd oldest/youngest dog. he had bitten our cousin, now my brother so she now thinks of disposing the dog, and i don't like the idea. DAMN! how can she think of that easily? i can't let that happen! I LOVE THEM ALL :(

I think you should try to figure out why the dog bbit them.Because if the dog bit them because of something they did the dog should not get punished.I had 2 poms my friend gave them to me I had them for a day and if i pet the female the male would bite me.I was pregnant at the time so i had to get rid of them I gave them back to the previous owner because i knew they would be well taken care of.

my brother was bitten, accidentally bitten by him. they had a dog fight with our youngest dog (im pretty sure it was because THE BITER got jealous when i tap gently the other's head.) my brother tried to stop them but unfortunately, the BITER tried to attacked his opponent and the victim of that attack was my brother.

I think it's wrong, because dogs do not bite for no reason. It should not be killed over it.I have a lhasa apso,he'll get nasty if he's all comfortable and my daughter moves him.He does not want her to move him.Small breeds are not children lovers,I mean dogs get moody at times like people do,but you don't kill the person over it .That's cruel to kill that dog over it.I'm against that.

I personally feel this very much depends on the factor why the dog has bitten the child. A dog can bite out of self defence, when it is hurt or to protect it's food for example. A dog doesn't have to be vicious to bite. There are dog behaviour specialists that can test your dog to see why the dog has bitten and whether or not he will bite again. If your dog was hurt, intentionally or not doesn't matter in this case, it might defend itsself especially if it got him of guard. Also, if the dog turns out to be vicious you wouldn't want it to get adopted by another family (especially if they have young children running around aswell).
Good luck, I feel for you.

I have two dogs and my dog Secret likes to play with my toddler son. He gets a bit silly sometimes and then snaps. My baby daughter liked to grab at my dogs collars so I have taken the collars off. It is my biggest fear that Secret might bite someone.
A dog can bite in self defense sometimes. Dog training is always an option. A soft muzzle could be bought from a pet shop. You love your dogs so training is the best option. Your mother is trying to get rid of your problem. You should go for serious dog training to get your dog to behave well around people.
Good luck.

A dog never bites without reason. Mostly it is psychological. Is he leashed all the time. Is he confined and not allowed to play with other dogs. Do all the members in the family love the dog?. Is there peace in the house, in that is there violence in the house? All these factors need to be looked into and if these cannot be taken care of you can send the dog to homes where they are looked after and then given to good homes. It is cruelty to put a dog to sleep unless it is terminally ill.

For me, if it will endanger the health and lives of my loved ones, I will have that kind of dog disposed. I once have a dog, he had bitten my brother and my son, of all people, he bit my son who owns him, it's my son who feeds and give him bath and yet he still bit him. I told my son that his pet is not a good kind of dog because he can't recognize the one who is feeding him. Nobody wants to own a dog who bites his master. I told him to dispose the dog or I'll have his pet euthanized before he bite us all. He agreed to bring the dog to the city pound.

just dont mistake me i too think its better to dispose that dog.a dog means a pat one and if it starts biting the people in the same house its not good in character.example if you take my dog he is really a very sweet idiot.you can do him anything but he wont even show his teeth back to you.better get a good pup if you like dogs.
