Sachin is only the first male Cricketer to score a double ton in ODI

I just read on msn that Sachin was only the first male cricketer to score a double ton in ODI cricket whereas a woman had already scored a double much before.
I am posting it below :
1st Male Cricketer to Score a 200, Congrats Little Master ! Jai Hind!
But, just for knowledge, the first double hundred was scored in Women ODI
Women's ODI no. 256 | 1997/98 season
Played at Middle Income Group Ground, Bandra, Mumbai (neutral venue)

yes i agreed that he is the only one to make double but i want to ask you one thing that is there any female cricketer which score double so you have written that Sachin is the only male cricketer that score double. it s an great opportunity for him to celebrate and even for india as he is an indian which increased the prestige of our country so really an great achievement and we should celebrate.

First of all congrats to sachin tendulkar made a double ton in ODI cricket.
Sachin given a gift to indian peoples and indian team.
A great performance of sachin scored a 200(147 balls) not out in Gwalior match played against south africa.

yes i came to know about it from the papers today. even though against a lowly side like denmark the feat still counts. i hope the icc will felicitate both BJ and sachin for this stupendous act at some point. maybe some special award at the icc awards. and good to know that both the double centuries came in India.

well i was not aware of that, but what ever it is sachins knock is extra ordinary.
so now sachin have one more record,FASTEST 200 in odi.

It is quite unfortunate, that this feat of a woman scoring a double hundred was never acclaimed. All of us know, how hard it was for Sachin to score the two hundred, whereas this woman BJ Clerk had scored 229 runs. Yes scoring 200 runs in 50 overs by a induvidual is a great feat. Let us congragulate, both Sachin and BJ Clerk for this stupendous acheivement.
