I love to go to tropical islands and palm fringed beaches. I enjoy some adventure like seeing wildlife and going on walks. In the Cook Islands I spent some time on the beach, cycled a bike and climbed a mountain.
My toddler son is unable to walk. I now have a baby daughter as well. We travel to cities because that sort of location is more accessible than beaches. I have taken my son to Lisbon in Portugal, Vilnius in Lithuania, Riga in Latvia, Tallinn in Estonia and Cape Town in Africa.
I adore beaches and I like cities.
Do you like beaches or cities more?
Are you adventurous when to travel?
Which beach or city would you like to go to?

Gee maximax, you sure do get around....lucky you.
Cities are a bit wasted on me as I hate the rush, rush, rush, all the tall buildings shutting out the sky and the crowds of people who mean nothing to each other. I find the cost of even spending a day in a city totally over the top. This includes fares, a movie, lunch and a little bit of shopping or sightseeing. A holiday would be ok because you could visit parks, museums and places of interest but it would still be very expensive.
A day at the beach can be just awful..trying to get there with a lot of traffic can be hard, the sand gets in everything, the beach can be crowded and the food expensive. The facilities can be horrible: dirty and no privacy and a long way from the beach. Taking your own food and drink can be a pain. Salty water drying in your hair and on your skin feels horrid and being in the sun brings the risk of melanoma.
Give me a holiday on an island beach with a fully serviced "hut" and a freshwater spa and I would be in heaven. Or dreaming....lol.

Personally I would much rather be on a beach on some tropical Island, than being in the city. I love the warmth and where I come from, there isn't very much of a warm season. I love to travel and if I can't get to the beach, my husband, our daughters and I, love to go camping a lot. This year we are planning on going a lot more cause we have all had enough of the city this winter.

I like to go to beaches. I would love to have a house out on the beach as long as I didn't have to pay for it, or pay for the insurance on it. It is a big risk to have a house on the beach here in Florida. I live in Pensacola, which has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, so I don't really feel the need to travel to other beaches, although I would like to go to Hawaii and to Jamaica. Unfortunately, I do not get to go out to the beach here as much as I would like to, but I hope to change that this summer. I love the ocean, and I have always been fascinated by it. I wanted to go to school to be a Marine Biologist, but I never got to go. Maybe I will be able to have a house on the beach someday if I ever get to the point in life that I can afford to do so...

If given the choice between going to visit a beach on vacation or visiting a city during my vacation, I would visit a beach any day of the week. In fact, right now we are trying to decide what we want to do for vacation this year. Neither of our children have had the opportunity to visit the beach in their lives. They are excited about the prospect. They are not seven and three years old and I think that they will do well with it.

Well ma'am,
I prefer visiting secluded natural places to crowded cities. I love the silence of nature very much. I also like the roaring seaside or beaches. Because the sound of nature are not harmful for the human ears like the mechanical sounds made by human being. If I ever have to choose between a city and a beach, then I'll say 'beach'. Of course I'm also adventurous enough to travel among the hill tracts and forests. I'm a great lover of nature.
Have a beautiful day.

Beaches.I live in the Philippines and we have lots of fantastic and beautiful beaches there. I've only been to a few beaches here but those beaches are really gorgeous. Listening to the sounds of the waves is very relaxing, the sands on your feet is very calming. I love beach sunsets. Its very rewarding.

Great question!
I like both.
However I am a true nature lover at heart. I love the beaches that are secluded with forests and rivers. I find them very peaceful. Its way more relaxing. Cities take more time to get used to. Especially when you go to a city in which they do not speak your native tongue.

Welcome eventful visitor.I happily share your likeness. Its hard to say which I like more.Different cities have different beaches which equates to the scenic beauty of
the beaches and the dazzleing effects of the waters are enough to capture one's imagination. That is good for the toddlers also, and I am sure this experience will certainly serve as an antidote to your son who wants to walk.Meetings strange folks
in these cities also add fun and excitement to the trip.
Last, but not least , a little ' pocket camera 'will also tell a story that you can always share with your friends

I live and works in the not so crowded city of KL. I love the city because of it's unique architecture.I love to to other cities as well.Probably Rome and Barcelona. From the architecture we can understand the civilazation and human history. I also love the beaches. But nowadays we facing a lot of enviromental issue around the globe..:( Thats why i would like to try scuba diving. I heard about one amazing place in Sabah.I can imagine myself deep down the sea watching the magic of underwater creation..Cant wait to have my first scuba trip this year!

I love both, but I prefer beach more...
Whenever we are in the beach, I just can't explain why my heart feels at ease and refreshed. Specially when the sun set, its just an amazing feeling inside.

For a long time now, I preferred traveling to cities and not beaches. I enjoy going around and checking out malls and restaurants and basically exploring the city I travel to. Last weekend though, I went on an island vacation with friends, and I realized that it was really nice going to the beach too! There are a lot of fun stuff to do like parasailing and reef-walking. I must admit though, that I still am not a sand and sea person, but did like the change of scenery, and actually found myself missing it when I got home. Still my favorite part of the beach vacation was walking along the beachfront strip where there are lots and lots of restaurants and places to shop, so I still got a bit of city vibe from it.

Beaches are my favorites to go and having an adventure.
I love to swim in the very cold water and breath its fresh air.
When I am in the beach all of my burdens was gone due to the
warm and cold breeze of the air. And its water that invites us
to swim and surf. So with the white sand of the beach, very nice
to walk on barefoot and it can helps our pains in the bones.

I was born and brought up near a beach. All my friends loved to come to my home as that included one long trip to the beach. I like beaches, and the fresh fishes too. Now I live in a city and there is not much I like here. I myself do not know how I am staying here...I would have relocated had I not had this two beautiful parks and a plant nursery near my home.

hi! I definitely like the beaches more and I actually have never liked the cities, because the life there is very loud and depressed. Well, i have also traveled to many cities for a vacation, but only for a day or two, and on the beaches i have spent much more time than just a day or two. Yes, i am adventurous when I am travel and I really like to visit the Borokai beach in the Philippines!

I love them both, and mountains, and the desert and rivers and... I like a lot of variety -- camping, whitewater rafting, swimming, touring museums and monuments... I can't say I have a favorite beach or city. How do you choose between NYC, Seattle, Chicago, Denver, San Diego, San Francisco, Miami, etc.? They're all fun and have their own "uniqueness/style". Some of my favorite beaches are not warm and tropical; e.g., those in Washington, Oregon and Maine. But all the driftwood, rocks, etc. make them special.
