Cause it does work sometime! It's force of habbit then like human nature to a degree instead of getting off our tushies & doing it ourselves *lol*

ha,ha,ha,ha!!! That's a good one. I just did this yesterday and finally broke down and put new ones in. I felt like such a goofball but was just being lazy I know. Did you ever hear about getting some extra life out of the batteries by putting them in the freezer? I tried it but don't really know if it work.
Sincerely in Christ,

My theory for why it works is that we hold the button down slightly longer and that is what causes it to work not pressing harder but for longer.

I just laughed for a while after reading your title.Good question.I too do the same.Even though th battery is weak it will work fine when we press the remote buttons harder.I don't know why.So, it is working when we press harder thats the fact which makes us not change the battery or going on pressing it harder.Another reason is laziness. We have to go to shop and by battery. So it is good to press the remote button until it asks stop pressing me harder.Lol!!!
